KERRY SIGNS SF-180 FORM

By Michelle Malkin
· May 24, 2005 07:40 AM

During an interview yesterday with Globe editorial writers and columnists, the former Democratic presidential nominee was asked if had signed Form SF 180, authorizing the Department of Defense to grant access to all his military records.

''I have signed it," Kerry said. Then, he added that his staff was ''still going through it" and ''very, very shortly, you will have a chance to see it."

The devil is usually in the details. With Kerry, it's also in the dodges and digressions. After the interview, Kerry's communications director, David Wade, was asked to clarify when Kerry signed SF 180 and when public access would be granted. Kerry drifted over to join the conversation, immediately raising the confusion level. He did not answer the question of when he signed the form or when the entire record will be made public.

Several e-mails later, Wade conveyed the following information: On Friday, May 20, Kerry obtained a copy of Form 180 and signed it. ''The next step is to send it to the Navy, which will happen in the next few days. The Navy will then send out the records," e-mailed Wade. Kerry first said he would sign Form 180 when pressed by Tim Russert during a Jan. 30 appearance on ''Meet the Press."

By any standards, todays poor in the US are wealthier than Kings in the 1800's and richer than all the generations before them.

"I have reread new testament."

Reminds me of a story told about the late WC Fields. When he was on his death bed, a visitor was surprised to find Fields sitting up reading the Bible. Knowing that Fields was not a religious man, the visitor asked why he was reading the Bible. Fields replied, "Ah yes, looking for loopholes."

Maybe, but Robin Hood didn't really rob the "rich" either. He simply took back from the tax collectors what they had taken from the poor in confiscatory taxes! The Zorro legends are the same.

Nowhere in the three-year ministry of Jesus Christ did I find a suggestion at all, ever, anywhere, in any way whatsover, that you ought to take the money from the poor, the opportunities from the poor and give them to the rich people," Kerry said.

He either did not read this parable or he read it but did not understand it.

Kerry: Continuing to astound with the amazing depths of tackiness to which he will descend. According to Kerry, the Lord and Savior of the world is a Democrat!

He apparently missed the fact that Jesus also never advocated the compulsory taxation of the population in order to sustain the poor, the almost poor, the laden-with-too-many-children-born-out-of-wedlock, the National Endowment for the Arts, PBS, and anyone else who can lobby themselves into the loophole. If I remember correctly, during my reading of the New Testament, Jesus taught that each individual should give to the poor and the widows, etc..

This is distinctly different from the Democrat approach: Confiscate from the productive and give part of it to the needy, a big chunk to pay off political favors, embezzle a piece, then fund ten thousand pork-barrel projects, all while taking care not to dislocate your shoulder as you pat yourself on the back for your heartfelt generosity, giving away other people's money.

Explanation accepted, sorry if I over-reacted. I can see you understand poverty as well, and have worked through it. As I say, I don't object to rich people, but I hate it when people (not you) beat up on the poor, and I have seen too much of this among conservatives. Poor people work as hard or harder than rich people, and I think folks should recognize that. Thanks for posting back.

Just WHO is claiming that Jesus ever said that?

Jesus never claimed that the rich should have their money robbed from them and then redistributed at the whim of politicians on the leash of special interest groups either. But that is what has been happening for most of the past century> It seems Kerry and other socialists want us to believe this is "moral".

The New Testament is not about social welfare policy.

(2 Thessalonians 3:10b-15) "...if anyone will not work, neither let him eat. For we hear that some among you are leading an undisciplined life, doing no work at all, but acting like busybodies. Now such persons we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ t work in quiet fashion and eat their own bread...And if anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take special note of that man and do not associate with him, so that he may be put to shame. And yet do not regard his as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother."

This passage appears to be calling for Christian "tough" love (excuse the cliche) to restore them to fellowship and not welfare handouts to those who refuse to work.

This is Christian "welfare policy."

Those brainy liberals.

One would think that, by definition, the poor are those without money. Yet it's always the case that the rich (who don't need money) are taking it from the poor (who don't have any).

Kerry lips are moving.. therefore hes lying..
He might have handled a New Testament, reading it is a stretch..

I remember reading somewhere that the bible is constructed so that a non believer would not understand it.. specifically.. also that in "the last days" "they/there" would be traitors.. and traitorous in spirit.. If true it describes the Democrats -AND- RINOs distinctly..
