Just Brilliant!LOL. It sounds far fetched, but not really. That would sure take care of the border issue from that side.

So do I. Do you have any further information on the questions being asked? I can't get coverage on my radio, and the TV is locked into cartoons.

based on Frist's last actions before Memorial Day recess, shouldn't Janice Rodgers Brown and Pryor be first up?

Debate on Brown starting 2 PM Monday. Cloture vote on Brown at noon on Tuesday. No schedule announced for debate or cloture vote on Pryor, but the cloture motion was filed "at the same time" Brown's was. The cloture motion can be vote on, and debate can follow if the cloture motion passes.

The cloture vote for the Bolton nomination is under a Motion to Reconsider. As far as I know, there is no "outer time limit" for voting on the motion to reconsider, since the underlying matter hasn't been passed along, in this case, the nomination hasn't been passed along to the president.

If anybody has definitive information relating to how a motion to Reconsider (Rule XIII), Cloture (Rule XXII) and Handong of nominations (Rule XXXI) play together, I'd like the benefit of your insights.

Was Kavannah kicked overboard in the deal as George Allen alledged?

Reid wants to scuttle the nominations of Haynes and Kavanaugh ...

I haven't checked Kavanaugh's history or record. At least 4 nominations are under threat by Reid: Saad, Haynes, Kavanaugh and Myers. Boyle is the other one "out there," and since he hasn't been mentioned, I did research some relating to his past ...

All nominations have to be disposed of somehow. They don't just disappear. The manner of being "kicked overboard" is important. If the nominee is rejected in an up-or-down vote, the Senate has at least given voice to its sense.

'The survey also contained a warning for the Democrats about how their opposition to any reform of the Social Security system is playing with the electorate.
"By an overwhelming 70-22 percent margin, voters believe that opponents of President Bush's proposals for Social Security reform have an obligation to put out their own plan for reforming the program," including 55 percent of Democratic voters, Mr. Zogby said in a report of his findings. '

heh-heh........

Propping up his SS Ponzi scheme instead of shutting the damn thing down and imprisoning people advocating such fraud.

Just when I think your posts can't get any more absurd...

Perhaps you could entertain yourself by typing some of what's happening.

Oh, thank goodness, coverage resumes on my radio. Now I won't have to count on people like you for information.

I agree with the President. The American people appreciate that he is willing to push on a problem to solve it, not just let it roll downhill for the next guy. I think the American people appreciate that he's proven to be a man of principle, a man of his word, even when it's not advantageous politically.
