Maybe he's just getting warmed up.

Stong economy, 5.2% unemployment, homeownership at all time high. Congress needs to work together to keep the economy strong. Energy conservation--House passed energy bill. Congress needs to be wise about taxpayer dollars.

A forty foot wall on the border? I realize the wall would be erected to keep people out...but dont you think, mining the border, placing turrets along the border, walls...etc...is counter to the principles of this country? Granted something needs to be done about immigration...but militarizing the border would give the libs credence to their constant shrill of the US being a police state...IMHO.

Bush promised to hold at least one press conference per month. This is it for May.

First Energy... Now going on about needing to hold spending down in the budget. Free Trade agreement with Central America... 44 million consumers (yeah... consumers with NO MONEY). Social Security Reform.
THIS poke at Congress is worth a live presidential press conference?? Zzz.

NOTHING on border control, illegal immigration... the proverbial elephant in the room.

Interesting point on CAFTA. I didn't know that so many Latin American products come in duty free, while duties are charged on American products going to South America.

Illegal access to our country's territory is hardly a founding principle.

He usually leaves major military announcements to Rumsfeld and Meyers. I think he will do the same when Bin Laden and Zarqawi are killed.

Live NOW... what's he talking about??? Propping up his SS Ponzi scheme instead of shutting the damn thing down and imprisoning people advocating such fraud.

I wish he wouldn't call terrorists "insurgents".

Granted something needs to be done about immigration... And President Bush won't be asked one question during this news conference about it ...

First question, with the success of the insurgents in Iraq, is Iraq up to defending themselves?
