Right as rain snugs. If the govt. can't secure the safety of its citizens what good is it?

I think your point is very important---this Administration knows what with communication world-wide as instantaneous as it is, and with the history of politicians to "leak" classified info.....the LAST thing they want right now is a leak that could, yet again, influence what they are trying to accomplish in Syria...

Besides, I heard today that Negroponte, NOW has grand poobah of intelligence is very against giving them this information---and since the dems were gung-ho on the 9/11 commission command that we add a Intel grand poobah, they can't very well come back now and say he doesn't have the right to withhold sensitive documents, now can they?

McCain joined Christie Whitman's PAC.....

Watch for him to pull a Perot and take down the republican candidate.

Just finished watching Dodd. He did his job of parroting left-wing talking points but failed to respond to Wallace in questioning the validity of this fishing expedition into Bolton, WMD and Syria. I thought Wallace did a fair job of letting Dodd hang himself and showed Dodd to be playing political games instead of being serious over the Bolton nomination. Dodd kept saying "we're just doing our job" over and over, trying to make it legitimate.

Here in S.Fla. Haiti and Cuba are huge topics.
I spent 5 years working in Haiti and have the deepest respect for Haitian people. Aristide was a tin horned dictator accd. to the Haitian friends I have talked to.

Cuban people have been through hell. Cuba is one of the most communistic, countries anywhere in the world. They export terrorism, drugs, you name it. They are worse than any commie nation I can think of and only 87 miles from the us(at Little Palm Island in the Lower Keys) It is a mistake to deal with them. Let castro die off and then reevaluate what goes on there.

'another gal, t.v. news woman'

Would that be Jayna Davis? I was surprised, that when FNC had their special about OKC that they did not include her.

Exactly---and that is why Sec. Rice needs to do some housecleaning like Bolton does in the UN....

The State Dept. and the CIA have been none to supportive and cooperative with President Bush these last 4-5 years, and I think that now that Bush doesn't have to worry about winning another election, he isn't going to care whose feelings he hurts, or whose feelings people like John Bolton hurt....

I sure hope not Oldfriend. Right now if I had to list the top three potentials for us it would be George Allen, Bill Frist and Condi Rice as VP for either one. I would hate to see any of them taken down. But you could be right.

IMHO I don't think so unless he feels that the Republican nomination cannot win assuming that it is not him. In that case he may well a do Perot but with the thought that enough votes could go to him to avoid the Dem nomination winning this would fit with his ego he would for ever be able to say he insured a Republican win

As much as I do not like McCain and do not trust him I think when it came to something like a Presidential election he would not either support the Dem nomination or run as an independent if he thought it would elect a Democrat IMHO of course.

What we needed was a reformation of our military.

Pitifully, we got 8 years of slick willie.

Yes it is Jayana Davis. I'm not surprised. I have heard her talk before, she does not hold back any punches and FNC would be opening up the lions door by putting her on the air.It is something they would really have to be ready for.

House cleaning won't work. You are not going to change the corporate culture overnight. Influential bureacracies like the State Department, CIA, and DOD have developed ways to deal with their political appointee masters. Ultimately, they can wait them out. But there are other ways to thwart or change policies the institution doesn't agree with.

I would have much preferred Frist and the rest of our republicans to call it OBSTRUCTION.

Most have no clue about filibusters.

Everyone understands OBSTRUCTION
