Reviewing Dodd's donors and supporters, it's not surprising to see his positions on issues. He's bought and paid for.

Those to the manner born whove been in trouble -- Ted Kennedy and Chris Dodd, for instance, who participated in the famous waitress sandwich at La Brasserie in 1985, while their dates were in the bathroom -- have tended to get out of it by claiming that their boyish high jinks had simply gotten out of hand.

It is a rather bizarre prediction isn't it. But he sure did get cozy with fing last year, you gotta wonder.
He just gives me the impression of someone who has such a huge lust for power at any, cost that who knows what he would do given the right polling numbers.

There are rumors of a dirty bomb already smuggled into LA, can't recall the source, but who knows. Lets face it with open borders almost anything is possible.

It is something that does concern me rejoice as we did with the ending of the iron curtain I think we failed to realise other consequences and address those at the time, I suppose it would have meant aid money though from the western world and whether that would have been popular at that time is debatable.

If President Bush isn't worried about harm coming to his Administration re: the Syria info, then why the heck should Dodd care? Perhaps you know what information is contained in those Bolton policy documents re Syria, but if Bolton advocated an invasion of Syria based on some phony intelligence data or non-data, then this plays into the Dem constant refrain of Bush getting us into Iraq under false pretenses. There could also be some evidence that the Administration was trying to pressure the bureaucracy to go along with a military move against Syria.
Besides, it is for this very reason (executive priviledge) about being able to read these top secret papers, that the Senate SHOULD defer to the POTUS's judgement....
It is not a matter of deferring to the judgement of POTUS. There is always a tension between Congress and executive privilege of the Executive Branch. Every administration battles Congress on access to internal documents, which involve policy discussions.
Dodd is Fidel's organ grinder monkey, and whatever he is doing, it is because of Cuba...Biden is just jealous, bitter and hateful....
That's Novak's take. I just don't buy it. I thought it was noteworthy that Dodd specifically added, without prompting or being asked the question, that they wanted the Syria info in addition to the intercepts info, which needed to be seen by only four senators.

McCain doesn't want the second slot. He wants to be President. His ego won't allow anything else and the reality that his age would foreclose running for President after being VP for 8 years. If McCain had switched or ran as the unity candidate for VP with Kerry, I think Kerry would be President today.
