Were you injured?

No. A lack of med care growing up.

I had a tumor growing for some yrs until I couldn't walk.
was given 6 month. Imbeded in the side of my rt. knee.

Early mid 90s had Goldthwait Patellar Tendon Transfer,
IT band release, syovectomy and meniscectomy, etc.
on both knees.
Than a few other surgeries.
11/94 had a total knee replacement as nothing left of rt knee. I was in my 40s.
Due to the tumor earlier, etc. I have Arthrofibrosis,
adhesive capsulitis, chronic impingement syndrome, around
my totak knee replacement. They did a knee manipulation,
etc. didn't help. The leg is bent back . -10 extension.
All the time Working full time. PT was murder.

In 7/03 I had a new part put in my replacement that wore out. That was 3 months after my cancer surgery.
Haven't gotten to the neck and lower back stuff but you
get the point.

Good evening, LUV W. I just got back from getting some dinner and taking the dogs to the park. What a treat to see your post commenting about young David, accompanied by that beautiful graphic. Thanks for posting it. I will "steal" it for my image collection.

Indeed, how is that medal supposed to take the place of his dad. At 11, he may not fully understand the significance of the Medal of Honor, but even if he did, no doubt David would trade it in, in a heart beat, if it would bring his daddy home.

I'm glad you posted those pictures of little David with the President. The first time I saw them, I sorta missed the poignant look on that little boy's face--and mirrored in the President's face! God bless them all!

Thanks, snugs. As mentioned a few moments ago on another post, I've just returned from dinner and taking the dogs to the park.

Regarding Ricky, I happened to take him into the pet store last weekend, and a couple of ladies made a big fuss over him. It seems they raise Italian Greyhounds, and they are convinced Ricky is an IG mix. Maybe an IG-Chihuahua cross. It's as you and I had speculated. He definitely does have some Greyhound-type in him. The IG, because it's the smallest of the three Greyhound types, is the likely candidate.

Sounds like Ricky wants none of yapping dogs.

So it seems, although when I take him and my pit bull, Susie, to the park, I walk one at a time. Even if I take him first, Ricky yells his head off when I take Sue and leave him behind.

Well, I'm a night owl too, all I need is 4 to 5 hours sleep a night and I'm good to go, If I sleep for 8 hours or more I feel like crap

...because the adult staff enjoyed the swipe at the President and then they realised that it would cause a lot of trouble and so pretended that it was a genuine mistake to let it be printed with that caption.

I think that's exactly what happened. While the kids might be excused, the adults definitely cannot.
