I'm not sure what you mean here. The Democrats fronting a Liberal against a conservative Dem? While they may do that, I didn't mention anything of the sort in my reply. I was refering to Dems in red states being challenged by conservative Republicans. They were already at risk oflosing election before the deal, this pact just infuriated conservatives even more than their participation in filibusters and their chances at re-election just went further down. I find nothing wrong with that.
We need to have challengers for RINOs like DeWine.
Yes..which is why I've been calling for challengers and once possible challengers were announced have been leading the charge to elect them in the primary.
I think you misunderstood my post. I'm not upset red state Dems are heading for a crash, or that RINO's will be punished. I'm stating these idiots thought this Judas Pact would spare them having to vote AND save their precious re-election opportunities. It blew up in their face so I'm asking them just what they won for cowardice on the issue of the Constitution.
However, the idiots weren't going to get anything until our own (McCain, DeWine, Graham, etc. ) stabbed us in the back. I know they don't wish to acknowledge it, but techically they are the minority at 45 seats. If they were smart they'd realize going from having all judges allowed a vote, to only three (they say) guarenteed a vote is a partial win. That would of course demand looking at it from the perception of a minority, which they are incapable of doing.
No surprise. I've heard the overall popularity of Congress (House and Senate) is in the 20 percentile range.
My guess is it's more like 5.6%.
22% support the filibuster compromise. Removing media talking heads from the equation, the poll likely dips to about 15%.
McCain was on Fox & Friends and commented on the 33% approval rating for the Senate
I yelled at the TV .. Could part of it be because of YOU Senator ?
Sounds like bad news, real bad news, for the seven RINOs.
And the point of this article is?????????????????????
Surprisingly, the news readers portrayed the approval of the judges as a big win by President Bush.
McMaverick believes only what the MSM tells him. They say he's popular, he's popular. They say he is front runner for president, he is front runner for president. They say is is a Uniter, he is a uniter. When reality collides with fantasy, he can't handle it. He is no better than Kerry, Gore or Richards. G.W. beats him an election and he cannot understand the problem might have been with HIM.
At least something has finally started to get through that massive ego. He made a comment on a show he didn't like the term Maverick. Since they've refered to him that forever with his mug grinning at the label, I can only assume he realizes it's become a running joke.
The point of your comment was?????????????????????
29% of voters believe the GOP got the better end of it. Just 21% think the Democrats came out ahead, while 28% said neither party won.
1) I don't buy that 56% followed the story at all. I bet these questions were asked in exactly that way, "Have you been following the filibuster?" The questions should have been, who was the Rat senate leader and who was the Pubbie leader? Then they'd have a clue who REALLY knew WTF was going on.
2) I don't see a darn thing indicating where they stood BEFORE the deal, which would be a much better indicator of who actually thinks the GOP came out ahead because they ALWAYS think the GOP comes out ahead, or whether this pack of idiots is simply regurgitating the MSM or party line.
We won't try to dissuade them.
Ole Lindsey must be freaking out right about now.
Wondering what he let Mcasshat get him into...
If that's accurate, I have to wonder, why so high???
I forget, do we trust Scott Rasmussen's polling or not? LOL.He does show up on FOX more than Zogby tho.
Here's their 2004 scorecard.
