Sounds like Elvis is hitting the bottle again.

"£25 tickets"
Even translated into American value it's been a long time since I've seen a ticket that cheap.

One of my childhood bud's is a full time road crew member for Elvis...I just fired this story off to him to get his reaction to it.

Outraged fans walked out in disgust last night after Elvis Costello arrived on stage several hours late because he was watching the football. Was the football doing anything interesting?

I never cared for him much anyway. I'll take Frank Zappa or Ozzy Osbourne over him any day.

Somebody buy that man a TIVO.

He then shouted abuse at the audience and deliberately played badly. That was typical of his performances in the Seventies.

He's always been a smug, arrogant, narcisstic, self-indulgent jerk masquarading as an muscian. He was amusing for a while in the 70's.

Anyone who can write a song as great as "Almost Blue" can be forgiven anything...but he does need a TIVO.

I'm sorry to hear this.
I saw Elvis in the early 80s and then again just about three years ago. His performance was great.
However, if he had acted in the manner described here, I would have walked out, too. The "prima donna" act is such a turn-off.

Nothing Elvis Costello has done is the least bit entertaining. His fame is a total mystery - along with Jackson Browne.
I can't figure out why anybody listens to either of them.

Have some understanding, people. It's very stressful to be entrusted with America's nuclear codes.
