Installation tools like YaST (used by the SUSE distribution)

Thanks, I asked for a Phillips screwdriver and you handed me a regular. I'm using RH9. Not SuSe.

You can get Apt for RH9, and the first thing I'd do after getting it is opening a root terminal and typing "apt-get install synaptic". You'll also want to add the addresses of the repositories you want to download from. In Debian, you'll want to put these in "/etc/apt/sources.list", but if it's not there, just do a search for "sources.list". Once your sources are in place, it should all be point and click. I'd bet YaST (I think I referred to it as yum earlier) is probably also available.

Remember, Google is your friend.

You're the one with the problem, and we're trying to help you. You respond with statements like this. With an attitude like that, why should we waste our time sitting around handing you screwdrivers at all?
