I just wanna know how long you have to be here before they stop callin' you a newbie. Depends on the poster, and whether they check someone's profile before they launch their tirade.

Well, that's fine. But the GOP didn't become the majority without my help/votes and yours. We handed them every branch of government that we as voters could. We did our part.
They didn't!
So that's it. I quit. I'm backing another horse, even if I won't see the CP gain significant power until I'm an old man.
Time to start acting like a "Real Conservative" instead of just flapping my jaws about it.

one other thing. I understand your frustration but think back to the mid 90's how things where. We have come a long way and we have to do more that is obviously clear.

If President George Bush accedes to this power grab, he will go down as the worst President in history.
George Bush is in my opinion likely the very best president of my lifetime. The right man at the right time.
I realize that many think that about Ronald Reagan, but I like this guy a lot. Probably I was just not paying enough attention during the 80's.
I think that the man (W) is awesome.

Wish that were so....
Unfortunately, with the exception of the FEC, all that has already happened and seems to only be getting worse. I agree with the bottom up approach although that does not seem to be working either - ie. elect conservative Republicans. I still hold out hope however, just getting a bit impatient (throw in agry as an aside).

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO BE A REPUBLICAN TODAYWell Bob....I'm living proof, that it IS possible.
I'm I always happy? Nope.
Is being a Republican..sometimes like living with your mother-in-law? Yes. And that ain't easy.
Right now it's the only viable game.....And I'm dealing with it.
Good night Bob....

How come I don't feel good? Because we are getting screwed on the domestic front by the guys we helped put in office?

Don't generalize all of us "newbies." I am disappointed with Bush over his refusal to protect the border and massive spening on welfare instead of the military. But I would not call him the worst president (that "honor" goes to Klintoon and Karter). Freedom is spreading after all thanks to him.
With regard to the fillibuster, thank the seven turncoats who voted to compromise with the rats.

Maybe W will treat this deal the way the democrats treated the deal they made with his father regarding taxes and spending cuts. I remember how the hung him out to dry with his no new taxes pledge. Maybe W has a bit more revenge on his mind. Now that Saddam is stuck in his skivvies in a small cell, only the democrats remain to be dealt with.
I hope I'm right anyway.

You see: you are unable to read and are in away over your head.
I guess youre clinging to the fact that you used the word may in your title. Fine. I guess I erred in assuming that one wouldnt take the time to write an emotional, fact-free diatribe based on coming events unless they had a reasonable expectation that those events were going to occur. You got me, I guess.
But I would suggest that the next time you want to post something that is a poorly-written lump of illogical and speculative bullsh#t based on half-assed assumptions and inane hypothetical conjecture about events that are never going to happen, you should put that caveat in the title.
You may have to edit that disclaimer down a bit, for space reasons.

We can certainly agree on that!
As to Estrada, I don't know what Bush was thinking. All that I know is that - from Estrada's point of view - I bet he wishes he had never heard of George Bush.
