Wish that were so....
Unfortunately, with the exception of the FEC, all that has already happened and seems to only be getting worse. I agree with the bottom up approach although that does not seem to be working either - ie. elect conservative Republicans. I still hold out hope however, just getting a bit impatient (throw in agry as an aside).
It's a tiny, insignificant issue, but when was the last time the msm focused incessantly on imposing a national 55 mph speed limit to save lives and oil? Sure a few columnists here and there...but you sure aren't hearing your neighbors clamoring for it.
Anyway, no biggie, but I am really really optimistic that if we can hang on for another five years or so...we may see some fairly significant shifts. Don't forget that one of GWBs stated goals is to create a long term majority party. I believe him.
So call me idealistic or naive, but I'm aiming for hopeful.
