Where Girls Marry Rapists for Honor - (...just when you think you've heard it all, there's THIS!)

Rojda was 13 when she was raped two years ago by a neighbor in this hardscrabble Kurdish province. In order to "cleanse" her honor, she was forced to marry her attacker in an unofficial Islamic-style ceremony. He later was convicted of raping a 7-year-old boy and has been imprisoned.
But Rojda's troubles were far from over, according to an account of her ordeal provided by her family and attorneys. She allegedly was raped again in March by her father-in-law, who she said demanded she prostitute herself to earn her keep. When Rojda refused, the relatives and attorneys charge, a group of men held her down and sliced off her nose.
Police raided their home after being tipped off by neighbors, who heard her cries. The men were briefly detained, then set free though they have since been rearrested.
Rojda's story is not unusual: Human rights groups and Turkish officials say violence against women is widespread in Turkey, though statistics are hard to come by because so many attacks go unreported. They blame the violence on poverty, a lack of education and the patriarchal structure prevalent in much of Turkish society.

Anyone that compares circumcision to female genital mutilation as if they are the same thing or even remotely close needs to educate themselves.Circumcision is circumcision.

I wouldn't consider my willy to be mutilated. I think he is quite cute..and others agree. ;-)
As for Islam vs Christianity,,,,I think I will take the religion that embraces life as opposed to the one that embraces death. If you can't figure out which is which, I pity you.

I guess nothing should surprise us anymore. From the followers of the "Religion of Peace" that treats women as chattel, whose founder enslaved and raped women and young girls? I guess not. It leads to the Islamic horror stories we hear about on a daily basis... enslavement, women that are beaten, those that have acid thrown in their faces or harmed in other ways, or have their husbands keep several other wives like their role model Muhammed, most of these women too living in constant fear, too scared to leave, or be instantly divorced if she displeases her husband in any way, ending up an outcast in their barbaric and backward islamic culture.
I hope women turn out to be Islams archilles heel, and help bring down their intolerant ideology from within and consign it to history's unmarked grave of discarded lies.

Thanks for posting that Fred. Though not all not all those scenarios are likely to play out, the list would serve well as a stark warning to some of the dangers we face, and remind folks of the ultimate price we may pay if we do not keep our focus and resolve in continuing the war against the global jihad.
The hug-a-terrrorist crowd just don't seem to get it... the stakes are high, but the "useful idiots" stop us from doing what needs to be done right now to prevent many of those very frightening scenarios from eventually playing out and in doing so they put many more innocent lives at risk.
As for the "triple alliance" concept, sometimes I wish we were working on it right this minute, maybe not simply as a "triple alliance," but some sort of larger anti-Jihad alliance along the lines of the old NATO, comprised of nations that are facing the Islamic threat such as the US, Israel, Britain, Australia, India, Russia, so we don't keep getting in each others way and focus our collective attention on the enemy. Call it an "anti-terror alliance" or any other unassuming name, as long as the understanding and ultimate goals are clear among those who matter.

What a pity.
By choice you wish to remain dumbed down and you're proud of it. You just don't the obvious even when it's spelled out to you.

Shape of things to come in Iraq (and the world over) Great post Fred!
The toll in secondary deaths more than three billion
The potential death toll when this gets started is mind-boggling. I am not as optimistic as what you have written in your post about the final outcome.

I find all these comments about this being testimony of an evil koran and unpeaceful islam highly amusing. Let's see what God recommends in the bible shall we:
"If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silvers, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days." (Deuteronomy 22:28-29) Hmmm... This seems so much better than in islam.

We need to stop the political correctness B.S. that totally distorts reality. We need to treat these people the way they really are, deranged fanatical animals who hide behind a book that has no credibility in order to commit terror against anyone they see fit to do. You cannot treat uncivilized animals as equals and expect a rational response.

Yes, much of Islamic law comes from the Old Testament. Islam is basically a cult of personality spin-off. That's why it's called an Abrahamic religion.
And it would not be surprising if Jews actually lived by these laws thousands of years ago. Considering how brutal most of the world was at that time, it wouldn't be unusual.
But modern day Jews do not live this way. Modern day Muslims do.
