I'm glad to seek the jackels coming out of the woodwork. This is all about the right to kill unborn babies. Period. End of story. No further analysis necessary.

I really wonder if Senator Graham's dipstick touches the bottom of his oil pan. """
Good question: Who's pan does Graham's dipstick touch? Does this sweet weakling remind you of Tinder Bell?

I appreciated how candid Frist was with his answers. This will end up being a win for him. He said he was disappointed and is keeping his finger on the nuclear option.
Lindsay Graham had a tone to his voice that conveyed to me he was beginning to regret his sellout.

I'll believe it when I see it and not before.

Dan, can you get KSFO on the drive home? I think they still run Hannity on delay from 3-6.

Graham and DeWine are currently running scared. They are smart enough to know they stepped on it. They won't be blocking anything in committee IMHO.
PS: Sorry for the crudeness but that is the best way to describe it based on the squealing, dissembling and contortions I've seen and heard from them.

Frist: "Constitutional option is still alive and on the table".I'm STILL wondering - since the RATS think they got what they want, what's changed with the so-called deal? The Constitution? That would take an amendment...

Graham, who was on McCain's band wagon in 2000, needs to become Freeper....so he can get the straight talk here!

Correct, except in extraordinary circumstances. This is an agreement between 14 senators. Supposedly, they will hold one another accountable. If one strays from the agreement, it becomes null and void.
The Dems are acting like the agreement is binding on everyone. People like Frist and Cronyn say this deal is non-binding for them and just represents the views of 14 senators who reached an agreement among themselves.

Frist calls them "rump groups" Is that a polite way of calling them a bunch of asses?

"Lindsay Graham had a tone to his voice that conveyed to me he was beginning to regret his sellout."
Yeah, I remember that Clinton said that he "regretted" the whole Lewinsky matter too. And?

The Lib abortion factory is threatened any time the topic of Judges is brought up. What is frustrating is that on every issue we are being sold out. Whether it is on confirming Bolton (Voinobitch sides with Libs and the UN) or Judges (Graham joins with the Libs and the RINOs from the People's Republic of New England).

I'm STILL wondering - since the RATS think they got what they want, what's changed with the so-called deal? The Constitution? That would take an amendment...
Well, they believe the Constitution can be amended by a judge on a bench. So it's no surprise that they think 14 Senators can amend the Constitution.

You said..."This deal has Gonzalez nomination written all over it. Bush will come up with the excuse that he is the only nominee that Harry Reid will let through. Bush will further the damage his dad has done by nominating Souter."
I find it 'interesting' that Bush is now conspicuously absent from this fight. Bush could IMO effectively undermine this moderate power broker block of senators...if he chose to....using the bully pulpit....combined with a little righteous anger. He could further hurt these senators among the party base...as if they aren't damaged goods already.
Why wont he?
Polls have consistently shown us that Bush is perceived favorably by many in his personal qualities...even among moderate democrats. He won the election with sufficient plurality to claim a mandate. If you are going to spend political capital...why not for an important fight...CONSERVATIVE judicial appointees.
Is Bush's political capital to be spent on moderates...or on conservatives?
Time will tell what the game plan is.....

You can get Hannity on XM Radio channel 124 now.
I would - if I had XM. I'm still waiting for some satellite broadcast to carry Rush. Until then, I won't commit (unless there are exceptional circumstances, of course...)
Rush is not going to satellite because of his agreements with the radio stations he's on now. I heard Rush tell a caller just that,..sorry, but xm is great.
