Thanks, I sent every one of them the following letter:

May 24, 2005

To the Republican Leadership;

Every two years the Republican Party begs for my money, my support and my vote. We have faithfully given each for decades but with this traitorous "deal" to end the filibuster they have "screwed the pooch". You will not get my money, my support OR my vote, until you act like men and vote and support the conservative values regarding illegal aliens, social security and the conservative judicial nominees, etc..., that my family and I believe in and the conservative promises on which they ran their campaigns.

Now that Republicans have been reelected they have promptly forgotten the people and values that placed them into power. Well, I for one am no longer your pawn. Count me out, this country will get the kind of "leadership" it deserves; liberal, socialist/communist and corrupt. From now on, all I care about is my family and their well-being, the country can go to hell for all I care.

My family and I have been faithful supporters and active members of the Republican Party especially here in New Hampshire for nearly thirty years. The last Democrat I voted for was Jimmy Carter in the 70’s. With last nights “deal/compromise” regarding the filibuster our blind-lemming support for the Republican Party is at an end

Due to the extreme cowardice and near treasonous disregard for the Constitution of the United States shown by the Republican leadership and members of the Senate of the United States, who decided to cave in to unreasonable demands from the Democrat side of the aisle, I will cease to provide contributions to the Republican National Committee. Until this party remembers who voted for it and behaves in a manner consistent with what its base believes in, you will not receive so much as one penny from me again.

As for future elections; unless the “gang of 7” liberal “moderate” Republican Senators led by John McCain, i.e.,:

Snowe, Olympia- (R - ME): olympia@snowe.senate.gov

Chafee, Lincoln- (R - RI): chafee.senate.gov/webform.htm

DeWine, Mike- (R - OH): dewine.senate.gov

Graham, Lindsey- (R - SC): lgraham.senate.gov/index.cfm?mode=contact

Warner, John- (R - VA): warner.senate.gov/contact/contactme.cfm

Collins, Susan- (R - ME): collins.senate.gov/low/contactemail.htm

McCain, John- (R - AZ): mccain.senate.gov/index.cfm?fuseaction=Contact.Home

are dealt with, my family and I will stay at home. The Republican Party has determined that it does not represent me, my family or our conservative, American values. Haven't you heard; people who are opposed to judicial activism, abortion on demand, homosexual marriage, parental notification, a Strong America at home and abroad, secure borders etc..., are NOT the mainstream of America, we are the crazy wacko "religions right", neither do we represent what those in power believe or support. In other words, WE DO NOT COUNT, neither are our democratic ideals and views supported, until the election cycle rolls around and the "powers that be" in the Republican Party "Need" our support, money and votes. Then they LIE to us and say that they support what we support, believe what we believe and want to vote, the way we vote, UNTIL THEY GET REELECTED AND THEN IT IS BUSINESS AS USUAL. Whereupon they promptly throw us overboard onto the little dingy that the Republican cocktail crowd which fawns over the main stream media and lusts for position and power keeps tethered, trailing from the ship by a thread. Then, every two to four years later they reel us in, say "we value you, come on board; we need your money, your support, your votes".

Sorry, I refuse to be your pawn anymore. Until the republican party grows a back bone and stands up for what is right and DOES the right thing regarding illegal immigration and our out of control border situation, social security reform, judicial activism, abortion on demand, homosexual marriage etc..., I will stay home.

The way the country is going, within a generation we will be as insipid and have the kind of socialist government that Canada has, we are well on our way. America, has become a godless, post-Christian nation controlled and led by wicked, lying men in the government and judiciary. The tragedy is this; through this supposed "deal" a minority of senators within the president's own party has stabbed him (and all of America) in the back and thoroughly compromised his ability to lead. The future of the country now rests squarely in the hands of a minority of evil men led by John McCain, and Robert Bird. These 7 renegade Republicans along with the 7 democrats have become the power behind the throne. THEY control the country, policy and what happens. The president can't get anything accomplished without them and now needs their approval for anything and everything he wants to do.

After what has taken place, you can forget about Social Security reform, you can forget about controlling the borders or curbing judicial activism. You can forget about fighting the war on terrorism, dealing with China, North Korea, Iran, Syria et al. From heare on out, the PC "moderates" are in control. With this "compromise" we have just been ordered to bend over, grab our ankles and "take it with a smile".

Well, sorry, "I am not gonna do it, because it wouldn't be prudent". I am not the Republican Parties butt boy and I refuse to be screwed over anymore.

From here on out, if you want my money, support and my vote, you have to EARN it back.

Please remove my name from all of your mailing list, and my telephone number from your calling lists.

<< I wonder if Trent Lott worked behind the scenes of this betrayal? >>

Of course the "former"-"democrat" bastard did!

And we will only ever even begin to heal our beloved FRaternal republic's otherwise terminal feral-gummint sickness with action on two words:

TERM LIMITS!

No matter what, regardless of scare scenarios, in 2006 Snow, Chaffee, and Dewine must be defeated, either in the primary or in the election. Better an open Dem than these turds

The best hope we have now, as a Nation...

This is precisely the BS we went through during eight years of Bill Clinton. It should have been enough, but quite obviously is not. It seems that the Republicans realize it is time for the dems to run the country again, so...

The American Patriot Party also supports the constitution, and does it without the religious overage. Don't forget, there are a group of third party folks out there who ARE going to gain from this fiasco. Look at all your options. Check out The American Patriot Party and see what you think.

I can tell you who I would love to see run against DeWine or Voinovich. His name is State Senator Jim Jordan, a Reagan Republican. Here is a link to him...

I'm sure DeWine and Graham expect no primary challengers in their next election, but DeWine might be vulnerable to a popular liberal OH Democrat.

Sheesh.... am I spinning myself into the ground now....?

Unfortunately, and sadly, yes. Long after this particular "deal" has faded into the fog of the public's memory, the consequences of yet another abandonment and betrayal of the fundamental principles upon which our country is based will haunt us. These so-called national leaders, like a slow cancer, will continue continue eating away at the body politic of the Republic until the damage is irreversible.

Last night I watched my DVD of the movie National Treasure again. It's a great movie, full of uplifting moments which illustrate reasons we can all be proud of our heritage and proud to be Americans. I especially like the scene at the end where Nick Cage tells the FBI man that "the Declaration of Independence is not a bargaining chip". It's impossible to watch that scene without tearing up.

Sadly, today, reality bites, and we have to acknowledge that for these double-talking jackasses in the Senate everything is a bargaining chip: the Declaration, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and even the solemn oaths they swore.

Man, this is so frustrating! I haven't given money to the spineless republicants in the senate since '98. They are spineless; they think senators should be diplomatic compromisers, esteemed colleagues and honorable opponents. Bullcrap! They are the product of the communist infiltration of our system and parties which began in the fifties. McManiac is a traitor. While in prison they 'got to him'. He would have been their 'boy', their manchurian candidate, but even the communists recognized the PTSD squirrels running in that unstable brain. They went with their other candidate, xlinton. Its really too bad for the commies that Reagan whipped the crap outta their leadership in the USSR; afterall, they had been so successful in their own infiltration. They are fully tenured in academia, they own the MSM, the judiciary is filled with 'em.

God Almighty, I'm torqued. Time is ripe for a little of T.Jefferson's 'watering'. This is no longer America.

Isn't this "moderate" compromise similar in process to Nixon's "surrender" to the late popular Nelson A. Rockefeller in 1960? That "compromise" was called the "Compact of Fifth Avenue." Supposedly, Nixon gained the vote of Nelson A. Rockefeller by this maneuver, for the good it did him. Maybe selecting Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr., was part of the "compact." Lodge was supposed to make Nixon competitive in MA. All this makes one wonder what some of these Republicans are thinking.

Hopefully some of the Repubs with spines will quit their spineless party for this one

Not at all, Mikse, these Republicans will in fact proclaim victory through this "compromise." Most will never see it as a sellout, any more than their Democrat colleagues saw Yalta, 1945, that way. These Republicans are mostly concerned about the "R" in front of the name "Republican," not principles or the Constitution.

Other than Bob Smith, NH, 2002, no Republican senator has faced a serious primary challenge since 1980, when "conservative" (we were told) Alfonso D'Amato unseat popular long-time liberal Jacob Koppel Javits in the NY Republican primary. People in NY still honor Javits through their Javits Center.

I would imagine that the terms "Trent Lott" and "betrayal" would appear quite often in a check of search engines. But Lott is not among these seven.

Graham knows that SC never defeats elected U.S. senators of either party, and he is a life-timer who can pretty much do as he pleases.

Best wishes to Jim Jordan, if he runs, but he will no chance against an incumbent in the closed OH GOP. Republicans in OH do as their party leadership tells them.

Yes, these "moderate" Republican senators show the limits of just having a token "R" member to vote for Republican organization of the Senate. But we would be back to 49 R and 51 D without them.

I can "understand" the northern senators voting for a "deal", but Warner and Graham??? This is an insult to our President. I am so hurt; I feel betrayed; I am so angry.
