Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean yesterday defended his public mocking of conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh's battle against addiction to painkillers, saying, "It is galling to be lectured to about moral values by folks who have their own problems.
"Hypocrisy is a value that I think has been embraced by the Republican Party," Mr. Dean told NBC's "Meet the Press" yesterday. "We get lectured by people all day long about moral values by people who have their own moral shortcomings."
Mr. Dean last month did an impression of Mr. Limbaugh for a gathering of Democrats in Minnesota that included the sound of someone snorting cocaine. Mr. Limbaugh became addicted to the painkiller OxyContin while dealing with years of chronic back pain, but entered a rehabilitation center last year and says he is now drug-free.
Mr. Dean, a doctor, was unapologetic about his parody, even when "Meet the Press" host Tim Russert asked whether it is "appropriate for a physician to mock somebody who has gone into therapy and the abuse for drug addiction?"

Sorry for the wrong title. I sent a private mail to the admin mod to change. Should be "Dean defends imitation of Rush".

Little Howard sure has a way of putting the red in my neck.
He causes me to have some very un-Christian thoughts.

"I consider myself a deeply religious person," he said.... "I am sick of being told what I [am] and what I'm not by other people," Mr. Dean said. "I'm a committed Christian. I worship in my own way....

This is the great new hope of the Democratic Party?
The whole party if fueled by hypocrasy. I would go so far as to say, they are the plank in my eye.

I'm completely convinced that Dean has been parked at the DNC by Clinton Inc® to neuter him while Hillary gets her ducks in a row.
He'll eventually say something so outrageous that he'll have to resign in shame (not that a liberal has any shame, but they're masters at feigned outrage and that will be enough)

Folks, this is exactly why dems are where they're at with the voting public. The dems have allowed totally complete LOONS to speak for them and they deserve a lifetime of losing elections. And that's without even mentioning their wrongheaded policy views.
What a bane Dr Deanmento has thus far been to their party. There is NOTHING the repubs ever could do to get the results of the voting public to look at the dem party like a friggin cancer on America as well as what these WACKO'S have shown.

You must applaud the Dim leadership. Sen. Harry Reid whose main constituency is "Sin City". Nancy Peloci AKA "San Fran Nan" who represents San Francisco brand of morality. And the YeeHaw doc who hates anyone to the right of his views without restraint.

Hillary didn't have anything to do with Deans election as DNC chairman. He wasn't going away... he wanted it... and the Deaniac's and MoveOn types required 'pay-back' for all their time & money. Hillary would've rather had Ickes or even Webb... proven Clinton fornicator's.
In a way... Dean is like a McCain Democrat... a hot-head maverick. The WaPost has been critical of him lately and this may be the signal of an early exit... as DNC chairman. But make no misake... he won't just fade away like a good old-soldier. The activist base of the Party needs him... they thought Kerry was too CONSERVATIVE and they think the same of Hillary.
BTW... Vermont has a Senate opening in 2006.

To: Uncle Vlad
The "stack of stuff" is going to collect dust today as Rush continues to play audio and make mincemeat of Dr. Deanmento.

He'll eventually say something so outrageous that he'll have to resign in shame (not that a liberal has any shame, but they're mastere onlys at feigned outrage and that will be enough) I agree. The strategy is to make Dean look so loony that uber liberal Hillary will look centrist in comparasion. That 's the only way to get a communist like Hillary elected and I'm convinced that the media knows this and that Dean may very well know this.

Dean running for senator would really surprise me. IMO, he isn't interested in any job where he isn't the top dog on the totem pole.

Yes. . .and Hillery will come riding in on her broom and appear "moderate" to all those rats (and the non-thinking voting public). She will save the rat party from itself. . .to make her appear moderate they need a goon like Dean.
