"the hastened demise of people with only a short time to left would free resources for others," an amount they predict could run into the "hundreds of billions of dollars." Not necessairily. If "hundreds of billions of dollars" are saved because people are being terminated, those "hundreds of billions of dollars" will be redirected to other important social needs, like housing for the homeless, education for illegal aliens, or pay raises for politicians.

I've never understood why liberals hate HMOs but love government health care. What exactly do they think the difference in care will be?
To: STD
Robert Richardson is already notorious as the HMO administrator who green-lighted the assisted suicide of Kate Cheney.
I wonder if he authorized Kaiser to lower her monthly premiums at that point? It would have only been fair...sarcasm/off

"Liberals hate HMOs."
Really? Aren't they Teddy Kennedy's legislative creation?

How much time any one has left is subjective, an unknown quantity. Who decides when & who to kill? Judges of course or committees like they had in Nazi Germany.

I'll bet within the decade Kaiser will be a leader in euthanasia. Their treatment model has been trending this way for quite some time.

It is the logic of socialism to kill off underproductive persons of any age or medical condition.
As soon as you start the killing, the immediate next step is cost calculations to show that it's cheaper to snuff the old, the sick, the disabled, preemies, babies with birth defects and so on.
