Hat's off: Ex-Naval Academy plebes climb the shoulders of classmates in the annual attempt to reach the "dixie cup" hat at the top of the lard-covered Herndon Monument in Annapolis, Md. It took them an hour and 16 minutes to scale the monument and swap the cap with an upperclassman's hat.
Well, they have all been making it up for years, it might be a good thing to let the PRO's try for a while.
Blather did provide a lot of entertainment for all FReepers the past 10 years.
He will not be missed but his gaffes will.
Courage.

Thanks, Tonkin, for the words from our Sponsors of Free Speech.
Thank you for the wonderful Sunday music Kathy!
Awwwwwwww! Star--that child just gets cuter every single day! Thanks for sharing!
Angel hair pasta? Well, the chicken spaghetti did have angel hair pasta in it--that helped! (but not much)
Hey, lauren! Saw your post right above mine--how are you doing tonight. Are you finally rested and rarin' to go do it again tomorrow? Good to see ya!
Hey there LUV! How was the chicken spaghetti?
My relaxing Sunday turned out to be a whole lot of work, LOL!
But it's all good. I helped my Mom with a project this evening,
and it was nice to get to spend some time with her.
I hope you had an awesome Sunday!

Yes, Sunday is blessed! Two church services, with lots of singing--which I love to do. One of the many reasons I like uncleshags Sunday show--so I can sing along with it, too! Thanks, unc! :o)
The chicken spaghetti was okay. Not my favorite but the little lady who makes it is so sweet to feed us and the preacher and his wife and MIL. So I just eat it.
Glad you got to visit with your mom even though it required some working, too. I'm sure she appreciates all that you do for her.
Great picture! Lucky kids--I would love to do stuff like that. Guess I am just a big kid at heart!
Thanks for the Nana and Piper (the Pit Bull! LOL!) update. Sorry it took me so long--went to evening worship services.
I'll bet y'all both enjoyed the fact that Nana could go to church this morning. And it just sounds like she is improving right on target. Am I right. Is she having physical therapy--sure hope so. It makes all the difference.
Hmmm--guess Piper just showed everyone who rules the roost around there, didn't she? Whew! Got a little baby tiger on your hands.
I heard that you love to sing...that's great.
Yes, Nana does physical therapy twice a week, in the pool. Her left knee is shot, too, but the doc didn't want to do both at once. PT in water takes the pressure off her bad knee, letting her build strength and confidence in the new one.
As for Piper...who knew? The kids are going to have fun with her growing up...all we have to do is love her!!
Well, sing at the table next time we get together for lunch!
I would enjoy hearing you sing!
Yes, uncleshag's Sunday shows are beautiful, and always full of wonderful music. Thanks, uncleshag!
Happy Sunday Evening, Folks!
I do love to sing--someone else would have to be the judge if it is really singing, though! LOL!
Nana is going to be soooooo glad she had this done once all this pain is put aside. However, sometimes it's hard to talk people into doing the second one when they remember what they went through. Don't let her talk herself out of having it done.
I have never had it done myself, but have known so many that have and they are all glad they did it.
