I still hold Guilani mostly accountable for Hillary, due to his last minute drop-out decision due to "prostate cancer."
Call me cruel, but I still don't believe he dropped out due to cancer.
If he was too sick to run for US Senate, why was he out hoofing around the city one month after the 200 election.
Also, only six months later, on the morning of 9/11, he was literally running around the city like a Ninja warrior, which would be unusual for someone with prostate cancer. And he hasn't slowed down since.
I believe Guilani got cold feet, and that his internal polling showed he would likely lose.
Since he didn't want to lose, he relied on his prostate cancer as an excuse to drop out.
I'm sure there are some who would call me a cynical jerk for my opinion, but how else to explain Guilani's miraculous recovery right after the 2000 election.
YOu do have to realize that a lot of Conservatives register as Democrats to screw up the primaries.
New Yorker liberals are just as amazing as the ones in SF, or LA. You have to see it to believe it.
Huh?
I live in NY and yes people here have their heads up their a**. Everyone votes Democrat and yet no one can tell you just why.....
What is so great about the Tax-loving, illegal alien-loving, womanizing, gay-supporting, gun grabbing Ruina Giussolini anyway?
Guilani was a fusion party candidate. New York Politics is very very complicated. He's a Republican, he's just not a conservative.
Largely true, although, unlike Chicago, San Fran or Seattle, there are Republican voting nabes in the city limits. These include Pelham Bay, City Island, and eastern Throggs Neck (Bronx), Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Gerritsen Beach (Brooklyn), Maspeth, Middle Village and Glendale (Queens), along with all of Staten Island south of the SI Expressway.
So I phoned their office and let their receptionist know that unless Newsmax corrects this ASAP that their journalistic credibility would suffer and our support for NewsMax would wane significantly.
So far, there has been no correction posted.
"The state voted for President Bush over Sen. John Kerry in the 2004 election, 58 percent to 41 percent. "
Hmmnn, I am going to proof test this tid bit over at Snopes.
I know this sounds negative, but many (if not most) of the longtime Freepers have pretty much discounted Newsmax as a source of reliable news.
Other than cases, like this one, where they are regurgitating another news organization's poll or reporting on what someone said during an interview on television.
I'm not sure you can lay claim to the title "journalist" if you've never done a piece of original reporting.
I agree. The guy did an AMAZING job cleaning up NYC, but I'd really HATE to have to vote for him for president.
.......... and G.W. beat Kerry in New York City 70% to 30%.
;-)
Editor please.
Ras is now saying the beast gets 30% "Definitely vote for.".
For all the worry warts that love to sit around dreading her, the next part of his report is very enlightening.
37% says they would definitely vote against her.
More: 45% say she is a liberal. Considering the breakdown of registrations nationwide, 45% shows she hasn't fooled a single voter.
"Since the DU dump occurred, MajorCombatOperations has no place to go, so here he is."
Since I'd rather scrub toilets than visit DU, what is a "DU dump"?
Thanks, MS
