Dear GOP, No Deal.

There will be a political price.

Re: Judges

There is nothing more that need to be added to this, other than, BORDERS. CLOSE THE FRIGGIN BORDERS. THERE WILL BE A POLITICAL PRICE TO PAY IN 2006 IF YOU DO NOT DEAL HARSHLY WITH THE ALIEN FLOOD.

One thing else to understand. There will be massive voter fraud by aliens in 2006.. Don't think they'll be voting for you.. I hope you've learned that pandering to racial groups, does NOT pay off at election time. We don't have 40 years to figure this out this time, we have 6 months before the 2006 race moves full throttle.

Why is it most of you don't seem to get it, or care?

Your silence on the alien invasion speaks volumes about your respect for the rule of law. Don't think it goes unnoticed.

Lastly, allowing NewsWeek and the Washington Post to sew the seeds of hatred, backfired this time didn't it? Now, the target is Americans.. not just military, which of course the leftist in this country are only too happy to bleed. Somehow, in their twisted world, each gallon of blood means they are another inch closer to power.. The more blood, the more they can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Let me put this in terms a politician can understand. If YOU do not step in and stop this sort of recruitment for American murder, YOU are as complicit as they are. You will lose your job. Everytime you allow the lying press to get a pass, you need to understand that from now on, the voice of the dead will speak at the ballot box.

Americans in this country are SICK of getting jerked around by a Congress that have PERKS UP THE *SS, and far removed from the average persons stake in this country. We have to LIVE with the crap that comes out of DC, but you don't. No, you have your perks. This will have to come to an end. It is time to do the business for which you were elected, rather than the business of the Global leftists and powerful hate lobbies.

Get back to work for the people, or we will take you out at the Ballot Box.

Pissed off in America.

to every MSM falsified account of reality.

Media or not, the Pubbies have taken for-freakin-ever to get the Constitutional option to the floor, and the porus borders are more of a reality than I'd like to accept. I don't need the MSM to tell me that there is a serious lack of balls in the Senate AND the Administration.

You are quite wrong about immigration and the conservative voter. Are you aware of the magazine, National Review? They have warned the GOP against doing nothing on immigration or face the consequences of being out of power as soon as 2006. If you can disabuse me of my understanding that National Review is a conservative voice and speaks for many of us then please try.

BTW, what is the essence of conservatism? I'll answer it for you. To conserve the US Constitution. The Constitution is a document that is the basis for our nation. A nation must have laws and borders and they must be enforced or we cease to be a nation, and the Constitution becomes meaningless. It expires and so does our nation. The US Constitution is more important than any political party, even the GOP.

TERM LIMITS

Here. Here. Let's write up the legislation and find someone to sponsor it. We can call it the Optomistic-Pal bill.

Of course, I'm paraphrasing, but Sean said he heard that the Republican "moderates" want to deal with Dems that two nominees won't go to the floor for an up or down vote, and GET THIS - Dems can filibuster whomever they want regarding Supreme Court nominees if they are not "acceptable." Of course, the Dems won't think anybody that interprets the Constitution is acceptable.

As for the two nominees, of course, the Dems will pick the best we got, to filibuster.

Sean says Republican "moderates" need to have courage and should not compromise with Dems and the Constitution should not be compromised.

Listen to Sean now. GREAT show, as usual.

Call your Republican senators toll-free at 1-877-762-8762 and tell them NO COMPROMISES with Dems.

Rush Limbaugh said that senators are wavering back and forth, partly because of pressure from the public - our phone calls, folks. Let's get more phone calls and/or e-mails than the other side does.

Even if none of these WAVERING senators is your own senator,
please call 'em, anyway.

The last I heard the key GOP Senators are John Sununu (NH), Collins (ME), DeWine (OH), Hagel (NE), Murkowski, Specter (PA), Warner (VA), and maybe Lindsey Graham (SC). Frist can afford to lose only two, because McCain, Chafee, and Snowe have declined to end the judicial filibusters.

We can call toll-free at 877-762-8762 .

Fax or e-mail info can be found here (but phone calls are more effective):
http://www.conservativeusa.org/mega-cong.htm

Urge each to FULLY SUPPORT THE FILIBUSTERING
RULES CHANGE.

Why are you spamming all these threads with that post? You only need to post it once.

I want as many people to see what's going on as possible and call, call call your U.S. senators. Not each FReeper sees EACH thread.

Why does that bother you?

We are in the fight of our lives!!!!

Whose side are you on, anyway?

We are all in this together- we should hang together or we will hang separately, imo.

Amen. I should also tell you that I love the Napa/Sonoma area and the central coast as well. I am also from New York and currently live in Seattle so I feel your pain.

Oh, I quite agree. They've been backed into that corner.

But I'm also aware that by doing any given thing on immigration, they also face the consequences of being out of power soon. They've been backed into that corner, too.

I can point out the same thing with respect to abortion, social security, and a couple of other issues.

The Dems, by contrast, can do anything they like on any of these issues, and pay no price at all. They have everything to gain by making them the centerpieces of their campaign, and of the Republicans' campaign.

The US Constitution is more important than any political party, even the GOP.

I completely agree with that...but the most pressing issue in that regard is the gigantic growth of government and taxation, IMHO. Make that the focus of the next campaign and the Republicans win big. JMHO.

I know that this thread is dead, but I wanted to amend something I said earlier. I don't want to come off as someone who dislikes Mexicans or Mexican culture. I grew up with and still have Mexican-American friends. My neighbors are Mexicans, some possibly illegal, and they are nice people. Sometimes they play their music too loud, but I can see over time that they are slowly becoming "Americanized", especially their kids.

With that said, what I find troubling is the concept of a "reconquista" and I don't see how any reasonable American can accept the idea. If Mexicans or anyone else want to come to this country to take advantage of the opportunities offered here, why not use the American template for success, rather than a separatist movement? Let them come, let them prosper, let them honor their roots, but ask them to join us by learning our language, flying our flag- at least along with their former country's flag, and celebrating our unity.

I don't know how many of the illegal immigrants buy into the "reconquista". Certainly there are some. I would hope that they would reject the idea. As Americans, they would stand a better chance of success than as Mexicans or Aztlaners.

And this brings me to amnesty. Personally, I think the best way to fix the immigration problem is to absolutely stop all illegal border activity with a concerted federal effort. At the same time, a second federal effort to assimilate those who are illegal and wish to stay. Offer federal subsidised english instruction, work permits and an opportunity to eventually become citizens. I would also favor establishing federal guidelines for teaching U.S. history. New immigrants, as well as citizens should be made aware of the great things about America and the opportunities it represents.

In an earlier post I wrote that California is a "sh_thole" now because of illegal immigration. That was an unfortunate term that I used because it was used by another poster. Beyond the passion of the moment, I would not say that California is a "sh_thole". Illegal immigration has caused a lot of problems for the state. Not all of these problems are directly caused by llegal immigration, but it does stretch resources that could be used to address pressing issues.

The bottom line for me is that the "reconquista" is a dangerous idea to allow to flourish. Why the government allows such talk, I don't know. Not a racist- just an American who prefers to celebrate our unity, rather that our diversity.
