ACLU Wants Some Tangipahoa School Officials Jailed in Prayer Case
May 19, 2005, 06:57 PM WAFB Baton Rouge,LA

Frustrated leaders with the American Civil Liberties Union say they have seen enough. They want some Tangipahoa teachers and administrators in jail for apparently violating a court-imposed school prayer ban.

This is the fourth time in less than two months that the ACLU has formally notified a federal judge that school officials are dismissing the prayer ban that was imposed to imposed to settle a lawsuit filed by the ACLU in 2003.

Moral Absolutes Ping.

Here it is - pray, go to jail. I read that in the Soviet Union religious people were sometimes sent to mental hospitals and tortured with shock treatments and the like.

Maybe that method will become popular here.

Let me know if you want on/off this pinglist.

I think that mass Pray-Ins are a good idea.

A pinglist means a registered member of FR, who is interested in a particular topic, finds articles relevant to that topic, and alerts a list of similar interested freepers, and PINGS them. IOW, alerts them via a comment posted under that article, with the many names in the "to" box.

If you get on a pinglist, you have articles "sent" to your ping page, so you can keep abreast of whatever topics interest you. Just keep reading, and now and then you'll see someone pinging their list, and you can add on if you're interested. Somewhere - check out the search function - there is a thread with everyone's pinglists on it.

It's the American Inquisition. You get punished by government for NOT abandoning your faith.

They sued the South into submission but the South is brushing it off. How many lawyers can the ACLU muster to force Southerners to see things the way the Yankees see 'em?

So some teachers are going to be imprisoned for praying? I have a feeling that is definately NOT what the founders invisioned when writing the first amendment.

Sounds like its time for some of that civil disobedience the left used to like to throw around. Get thousands of people together and tell the ACLU to go to hell. If the government wants to arrest everyone they won't have enough room in the jails. They will have to build ACLU concentration camps. How will that look ACLU?

So amazing how the commie, marxo, liberal left interprets the section in the US Constitution "...there shall be no state sponsored religion."

I can't seem to find it anywhere in the Constitution that the government will imprison a person if caught praying as compared to the punishment for high treason.

It is time that the American people stood up and said enough is enough. And if the ACLU don't like it to bad let them go to the country"CUBA" where their stupidity makes sense.

You can join the fight against the ACLU and their ilk by becoming involved with and supporting the following organizations:

Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) - http://www.alliancedefensefund.org

American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) - http://www.aclj.org

The Rutherford Institute - http://www.rutherford.org/

Stop the ACLU Coalition - http://www.stoptheaclu.org

Here are a few examples of how two of those organizations are fighting back:

ADF: 700 lawyers ready to fight ACLU lawsuits

ADF: Pentagons' Warning About Boyscouts Is Absurd
