In their edition for this week, the New Yorker reveals that Pham An, of Time Magazine's former Saigon bureau, was a VC/NVA spy during his entire tenure there. Pham An supplied classified information via China to the north, with the help of his bureau chief.
Their website does not have a link to that story. Borrow a friends copy.
The New Yorker also happens to sub-title the piece "The double life of a Vietnamese patriot". I would like to introduce the New Yorker to some American patriots. Unfortuately most of them are dead.
Is there no limit to the treachery of the MSM?
I wouldn't be surprised that more stories like this would break as they start dying off. The full extent of the complicity of the MSM with the enemies of the US will be fully exposed.
I wonder when the current spies at the NYT, WaPo, LAT, Berkeley, and all over the Dem. party will be outted?
Doesn't surprise me a bit.
Richard Nixon was right.
I think the real news is that they only found one communist spy at Time.
Kerry's military records (should he ever follow up on his promise to release them) will show that Kerry and Am were once arrested in a Saigon whore house for causing a fight and refusing to pay for services rendered. It later turned out that the girl who taught Kerry Vietnamese in Cahm Ran Bay was an employee at this establishment and a Viet Cong spy. It is all in Kerry's records.
NO, but you knew that, sadly.
No, there is not.
TIME magazine may as well be the publication arm of the State Department.
Nixon brought our troops home in '73/'74? Just how long was this traitor on the staff? The mag and its people should be tried for treason.
Something also very telling about the story, is they claim that Pham An's former associates from other news outlets were still supportive of him. An exception was Peter Arnett, whose wife is Vietnamese, I believe.
This does help explain why the MSM was so aghast at the Un-American Activities committees. They were afraid that their covers would be blown. BTW, An got his start in the 50's. The communist party sent him to California for his education. My, how convenient to Hollywood!
I believe he was there from the early 60's on. I'll double check when I get home tonight. The article was unclear as to whether he bureau chief, who assisted him in getting the classified info BTW, knew of his connections.
So, how many Americans did Time get killed? I wonder if they have a body count for that?
"Richard Nixon was right."
Apparently, so was McCarthy.
Friends with Strobe Talbot, perhaps, as well? ;)
BUMP!!!!!!
Yep. To this very day.
Ping!
bump for later.
