The White House on Wednesday suggested one way for Newsweek to repair any damage from a story that ourtraged the muslim world and triggered deadly anti American protests in Afghanistan.
Presidential spokesman Scott McClellan urged the magazine's editors to take their case straight to the Muslim community by appearing on Arab television.
He made the comment after noting that Newsweek editors had already been appearing on US television outlets to talk about the incident.
Newsweek has retracted the story which alleged US interrogators defiled the Quran, Islam's holy book.
The White House quickly called on the magazines editors to find a way to set the record straight.

New-Squeak is attempting to ride out this storm by attempting to stick to the it's talking points of blaming everyone but themselves, while trying to appear "humble".
It's all classic "crisis management 101".
DON'T let them get away with it. Write to advertisers, Fox, Letters to the editor, Congress & other news outlets. Talk with subscribers and newstand retailers. Let everyone know that this outrage can NOT be tolerated. New-squeak lies, while we all die--and they get away with it...
btw, have you seen and CREDIBLE proof that there were 17 deaths as a direct result? Or are you/I/we taking for granted it is true?
THAT story may well be BS, too.
LOTS of stuff being conjured up these days, don't forget.
LOL! ;-D
Interesting sign in #4, courtesy of FReeper PhilDragoo.
Their entire religion preaches murder against non-Mooooslims.

Yes that is possible, but the reports in the states seem to agree there were deaths. Perhaps they are wrong. In the face of this Newsweek is still acting almost as if they are the wronged party here.
I still say Isikoff and Newsweek screwed up terribly. They, CBS... heck the whole MSN is just plain whacked out these days.
****
Just leave the country.
"I still say Isikoff and Newsweek screwed up terribly. They, CBS... heck the whole MSN is just plain whacked out these days."
They've been dishonest (often not even "factually" correct) and deliberately subversive to our COUNTRY as well as the administration) for a very long time, now.
Along with that unholy tome..
