It's the sort of Army joke that would be expected to earn a severe rebuke from commanding officers.
But what began as an amateurish spoof could earn a fortune for charity and become the smash hit of the summer.
A group of soliders who jokingly filmed a version of the hit song (Is This The Way to) Amarillo? were coping with sudden stardom.
And rather than being punished for acting like pop star instead of privates, the Ministry of Defense has said they will not be diciplined.
Deptartment of Defense offered it to Comic Relief, which could use it to donate thousands of pounds to charity. The shakily filmed video ended up bringing the Ministry of Defenses computer system to its knees, crashing the server.

War is long stretches of boredom with moments of abject fear and inhumanity thrown in. Let em use their idle time however they want, as long as they aren't hurting anyone but the enemy.

That was hysterical! Thanks for posting!
