This is one turn of phrase I haven't heard the pubbies use...but I wish they would:

It's one thing if a member wants to vote against (or for) a nominee. But members MUST NOT prevent other senators from doing the same. All members will have the opportunity to vote for or against each candidate. That is the least these nominees should expect.
