Bush may need to send Cheney up to the hill pretty soon to start kicking some RINO butts into gear!

50! That's all we need.

And at this point, frankly I don't care HOW we get them.

I want them.

How will the people know?

The same way they don't now. The media (propaganda wing of the DEM party) will either hide it, lie about it, or misrepresent it.

All GOP senators involved in any "compromise" should be severly punished by the leadership...loss of committees, staffing, offices, campaign help, etc.

I'd even threaten to find and run someone against them in their next election in the primaries. I'll check later, but I wonder how many of these jerks (McCain, et al) are up in 2006 or 2008.

----I'd state the Dems don't think the GOP senators are even capable of reading the Constitution.-----

And I wonder if the Dems can even understand it....

Honest to goodness, they just do NOT get it; I told this same person that there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that could EVER make me vote for McCain under any circumstance and I swear to you, they were FLOORED that I wouldn't support him if he was the nominee.

Good job, Howlin. I am trying to get that same message across to them. They are enamored with the organization and their gains in Congress but they are truly clueless about the President's role. I will never vote for McCain either, not for any reason.

REPUBLICAN STAFFERS READING THIS THREAD-

IF you think you can compromise away votes without our knowing about it, THINK AGAIN. RINO's in Committee, we will make you PAY at your elections. IF you are putting together a deal to give away your votes to avoid a rules change it is UNACCEPTABLE. Either get your acts together or start packing.

I think Hatch needs to get angry and stay angry more often - that's when he's most effective. Otherwise, he begins to sound a bit too conciliatory. However, when he's angry - he's more deliberate in expressing his thinking. As when a mtoher begins to speak with a controlled voice to a misbehaving child.

Curious to know if you think it should have been tried before the election of 2004? Before passing the transportation Bill?

I think now is probably the best timing, given the way past events transpired. But in hindsight, I think the GOP could have rejected the use of cloture on nominees when Dashle was leader.

One deal could be that there are a few on the list who can't get 50 votes (not sure who that would be). If that's the case make a deal to have the Pres pull them and let the rest through.
