I just read a post on conservative blog that stated few freepers were veterans (implication was that we were chicken hawks). Having conversed with many of you and met a few, I do not believe that is the case. But it did get me wondering, who among us is active or prior service veterans? Awright you freeper vets SOUND OFF!

Some people need an education!! My best friend at the time joined the AF a year after me and he did his 20. I'm beginning to think that everyone should do a stint so they will grow up and stop living in a fantasy land that a lot of our youth are living in. I believe in freedom but I also believe in responsibility.

Got to tell you though, I really looked up to those Marines.

I'm the only one here. No others, not a one.
On the other hand, I could be mistaken on that statistic.

Yeah, I served during the second Clinton term.
UGH.
Our budget for spare parts got slashed.
Loved the work though, artillery is addictive!

My father retired from the USN and my son served in the USMC Reserve from Feb. '99 - Feb '05. He fought in Iraq. They both served so I didn't have to. I appreciate them and all other military and their families.
