Claim that the Holy book was defiled by US guards at Guantanamo Bay has incensed Muslims

Demonstrators show the depth of anti-American feeling in Islamabad after the Newsweek report (REUTERS)

AT LEAST nine people were killed yesterday as a wave of anti-American demonstrations swept the Islamic world from the Gaza Strip to the Java Sea, sparked by a single paragraph in a magazine alleging that US military interrogators had desecrated the Koran.

You know what we should do to combat terrorism and extremism? We should make a koran with a boxing glove on a tight spring inside so when someone opens it they get a huge punch in the face.
I am no good with pictures or graphics, can someone help?

Newsweek like the rest of the mainstream press is working so hard on trying to create an Abu Ghirab-style scandal at Gitmo, so much so they would irresponsibly and wrecklessly report an unsubstantiated rumor just to get Americans riled. They and the rest of the leftist lapdogs of the US media are furious we Americans don't give a rip how Al Qaeda murderers are treated, so much so they'll report lies now. In the process, they may undo all the progress we've made in Afghanistan and revitalize a Taliban insurgency there that was nearly dead. Additionally, they will through their rancid yellow journalism make the war on terror tougher to win all over.

How many Americans will die in Afghanistan and elsewhere now because some leftist punk still oozing the stink of his leftist journalism school college professor's brainwashing wanted to go off on some anti-military crusade and slander our country and our military? Good job Newsweek. But I guess you got what you wanted in making life in the War on Terror harder for our men in uniform and making the country you hate look bad.

I hope any of you with a Newsweek subscription will cancel it forthwith.

We need to find a willing pooch and get a photo circulating worldwide of a dog crapping on that rag.

They'll slaughter each other so fast we'll be able to cancel our military budget.

Good job Newsweek.

What's more, Newsweek including its senior editors knew the likely reaction in the Muslim world and they still went ahead and did it. Everyone with a kid in Iraq or Afghanistan should press to put these irresponsible anti-Americans out of business. Might start a writing campaign to some advertisers. Mine will be in the mail tomorrow.

"Who gives a shit ? The Koran is the Devil's scripture. Its The Book of Evil.. Look here to see how it compares with the Bible/Christianity."

Now, now, we shouldnt focus on our differences! Lets focus on how much they are the same...
1. Both had really nice beards!
2. Both have religions based on them!
3. Ummmm... help me with this one. Ive run out.

Wait, wait, I know. We'll smear it with excrement and urine.

Oh, never mind, it's already been done. To OUR religious symbols!!!!

And all fully approved and recommended by the ACLU.

I'm sure the ACLU will tell the Islamoterrorists that desecration of the Koran is all part of religious FREEDOM in the ood old USA

One of the saddest parts of this is -- according to the logs from Gitmo -- was that the only person to "desecrate" the Koran may have been a detainee who tried to plug up the toilet by ripping pages from his copy and stuffing them down the WC.

All of this from a paragraph using an "unnamed" source...SHEESH! SHAME ON YOU, NEWSWEAK

Im still in shock over what I heard from Condoleeza Rice.

In the days, months and years ahead these words will come back to haunt us.

My take is as follows ~

Submission of the Infidels

An American Expat in Southeast Asia

Ditto. That sure sums up my feelings too. I wonder if Newsweek would print that in their letter's section.

Do you think these liberal elitists rat pieces of crap give a care about what they print. Just as long as it hurts America is all they care about.

I'll bet the nitwits behind this publication at Newsweek are reveling in the reaction they created thinking that they have so powerful as to affect international events. They will see this as a big resume builder.
