Just a few weeks ago, for example, the Wall Street Journal reported that a key computer model relied on by global warming believers, is seriously flawed, predicting global warming no matter what data are entered into it.

Ya gotta just love these idiots...

From JunkScience.com:

The Kyoto Count-Up!

Since coming into effect February 16, 2005, the Kyoto Protocol has cost about US$ 35,919,505,267
while the potential temperature saving by the year 2050 so far achieved by Kyoto is 0.000372499 ºC
(to get activity on the clock we had to go to billionths part of one degree, which obviously cannot be measured as a global mean) Click here for more information.

Another reason why there should be a Constitutional amendment than no one should be forced to pay more than, say, 20% of their annual income in taxes. That way, we would not get dinged for all of these stupid things. As it is now, there is no limit on how much they can take from us.

"Every time somebody buys something at the store (they) pay a 10 per cent tax, based on how much carbon was in the fuel that they consumed.”

"How in the hell are they going to manage that?"

They don't have to. This is a LIBERAL plan/tax. There IS no accountability to anyone for RESULTS or the tracking of dollars when the Libs propose something.

Just fork over the dough, would ya? ;)

Exactly, China isn't going to pay this. So anything we manuacture or do that involves energy will have to compete at a disadvantage. Think of how energy intensive making an automobile and all its parts must be.

This is on top of all the regulations, union goons, and monopolies that are in our power industry.

I would like to see th Sixteenth Amendment repealed and socialism eradicated from all budgets (local, state and federal). There was no personal income tax before this.

The budget needs to reviewed, line by line. Fat chance of that ever happening. Our benighted politicians will not allow this, so they will continue to tax and spend wit reckless abandon.

They lied when they originally said that the income tax would not go beyond a certain percentage (a modest percentage) when they were arguing for the income tax.

I regard the income tax as being Anti-American (historically speaking) and subversive of Liberty.

Socialism is running at full speed, not creeping.

You are so right. They have absolutely NO incentive to reduce spending. And they always throw together these huge omnibus bills that no one knows what they contain. It is so maddening. And Bush has not used his veto pen even once!!!

Many politicians cleary balk at cutting spending and getting the financial house in order. They clearly do only what they want and many absolutely refuse to listen to U.S. Taxpayers. They want to replicate this nefarious process at the Global level?
