In France a man was arrested trying to recruit volunteers who would like to go to Iraq to fight against the American led coalition.
According to bizarre media report, a 34-year-old Algerian Islamist was arrested May 9 in the suburbs of Paris, French security sources say. He was giving forged identification cards to volunteers so they could join jihadists fighting U.S. forces in Iraq. The sources add that he does not appear to be connected to other French jihadists networks, such as the one in Paris'' 19th district that got broken up in January 2005 and another one that was broken up in April 2005. However, the man could have ties to Tunisian Islamists based in Marseille, southern France, French intelligence investigators say. There appears to be several small cells in France trying to send jihadists to Iraq, but they do not seem to have any connection to one another, the sources added.
According to some international think tanks, Al-Queda and other Islamic Juihadists are trying to recruit people all around the world to go fight in Iraq. This Islamist Algerian is being questioned by the French authorities. But it is believed widely that such Al-Queda sleeping cells are all over the world trying to secretly recruit people and waiting to cause terror.
In many countries including India, the common people have helped authorities in arresting l-Queda and other Islamic Jihadists trying to recruit people to work for terror organization.
Another article about Al Qaeda -- I don't know the reliability:
AL QAEDA TARGETS VEGAS
http://egyptelection.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=904
Las Vegas has been revealed as Osama Bin Laden's number one terror target.
Al Qaeda terrorists posing as tourists compiled a detailed dossier on America's gambling mecca, according to a top secret intelligence report. Videos and photographs of a string of landmarks and major hotels were sent back to terror bosses plotting a spectacular sequel to the September 11 attacks.
"Information indicates that any attack would be multicentered at several sites and probably take the form of explosive devices.
The Al Qaeda research was said to be "very professional." Details sent back to terrorist planners include floor plans, positions of security cameras, any searches carried out, the timing of traffic light changes and placing of road humps, to help gauge the plausibility of escape routes.
Homeland Security sources in the U.S. denied there is currently a heightened security threat to Las Vegas.
I'm surprised Chirac hasn't signed up!
Screw the Frogs!!!!
The French are only experts in surrendering. Talk about desperation.
Let's give France back to Germany!

Now THIS is desperation!!!
I heard they are going to strap explosives to snails..../sarc
Maybe the need The French to tell them the proper way to surrender.
Why are they going to France for fighters? Isn't that like going to a vegetarian restaurant for a steak?
(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)
It's more like asking a sheep to wear wolf's clothing.
I doubt the Germans would want it. Even in WWII, France was only ever a highway to Britain!

Have they lost their taste for martyrdom?
bttt
"French" MUSLIMS
still cannon-fodder.
French citizenship does not make a Frenchman. This must be one of those 10-odd million muslims that they "accidently" allowed to enter France.
