HILL'S 'CLOSE' CALL
New York Post ^ | Wednesday, May 11, 2005 | By DEBORAH ORIN

May 11, 2005 -- WASHINGTON — As the trial of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's former chief fund-raiser opened yesterday, it was revealed that one of her closest aides — always by her side when she ran for Senate — could be a key player in the case.

She's Kelly Craighead, who was Clinton's ever-present travel director and close pal — so close that the former first lady performed the 2001 civil ceremony when Craighead wed Erick Mullen, a former aide to Sen. Chuck Schumer.

Craighead's name surfaced as jury selection began in the federal trial in Los Angeles of Clinton's ex-finance director, David Rosen, who is charged with illegally under-reporting the costs of an Aug. 12, 2000 Hollywood gala.

The proposed jury questionnaire lists Craighead and other key players — including longtime Clinton loyalist Harold Ickes — to prevent conflicts of interest by checking if jurors know any of them.

The list also includes Sen. Ted Kennedy's brother-in-law, Ray Reggie, who wore a wire to tape Rosen discussing costs of the Clinton gala.

What with the harsh feelings half of Amereica has against Mrs. Clinton I figure she must have serious secret service protection.
You never hear of anyong spitting on the beast or challenging her for supporting her cheating husband. You never hear of anyone threatening her safety or say painting her house or throwing blood on her. Something for GODS sake, anything.

This trial is after the Flunkies, while the head of the beast is sitting in the Senate feigning ignorance.

The Dems are shouting to bring down Tom Delay while their queen is is in danger of checkmate if some Republican could grow the gnads to start an official inquiry.

How is this sleezy witch allowed to perform a wedding? I was under the impression that ministers, judges, and JP's were doing civil services, not ex-first lady senators...

Federal prosecutors say Clinton isn't a target, but her critics are watching for revelations that could embarrass her as she eyes a 2008 White House bid and runs for re-election next year.

Is it me or does this line magically appear in most stories written about the corrupt Hillary?

A lawyer question: Hillary performed the "civil ceremony" that "married" this person???????

(Makes one wonder who the "partner" is ..........

And, what, by what rules, permits Hillary to perform "marriages" (er, civil ceremonies) in what state under what (justice of the peace?) authority?

"Do you have such strong feelings one way or another about Hillary Clinton that would make it difficult for you to impartially consider this case?".......

Guess that would knock me out of the jury pool, right there....
