After urging the spread of democracy in Latvia, The Netherlands, Russia and Georgia, President (and Laura) Bush returned to the White House. The president will resume work with Congress on Social Security and judicial nominees, as well as seeking help from China on getting North Korea back to negotiations on its nuclear weapons program.

Thousands gather in Freedom Square to hear President George W.
Bush speak in Tbilisi, Georgia, Tuesday, May 10, 2005. "
When Georgians gathered here 16 years ago, this square had a different name. Under Lenin's steely gaze, thousands of Georgians prayed and sang, and demanded their independence, said President Bush.
"The Soviet army crushed that day of protest, but they could not crush the spirit of the Georgian people."

A U.S. appeals court on May 10 2005 threw out a lawsuit that sought details about Cheney's 2001 energy policy task force. The unanimous ruling ordered a federal judge to dismiss the lawsuit by the Sierra Club environmental group and Judicial Watch...YIPPEEEEE!!!! A win for the good guys for a change. (Have I mentioned lately that I think Judicial Watch is a useless sack of something which shall not be named?)

Oops, I thought that doggie was baby Beezie.I think you're right and it is the puppy. I jumped to the conclusion that it was Barney because of the adult clip. She must have gotten her first one while George and Laura were away.

But I'm a little wary of the media hype regarding the "grenade"...I understand your wariness. I haven't looked in awhile, but earlier could not find a single thing about it in the online news sites.
