Dick Morris: STEAK DINNER COULD COOK HILL
New York Post ^ | May 10, 2005 | Dick Morris

Posted on 05/10/2005 3:14:56 AM PDT by The Raven

May 10, 2005 -- THE Justice Department case against David Rosen, national finance chairman of Hillary Clinton's 2000 Senate race, is getting stronger, increasing the odds the aide will start cooperating with the government — which could be disastrous for the senator's ambitions. Rosen has been indicted for deliberately reporting that the cost of an August 2000 Hollywood fund-raising gala was only $400,000 when the actual tab was $1.2 million — a step that let Mrs. Clinton spend $800,000 more in "hard money" for her campaign. (After Hillary and opponent Rick Lazio agreed to ban soft money, both camps were scrambling to maximize their hard money on hand).

The New Orleans Times-Picayune has reported on a transcript of a Sept. 4, 2002, audiotape of a dinner between Rosen and Ted Kennedy in-law Raymond Reggie, who was wearing a wire. Most news accounts have left out the fact that Rosen implicated himself with each bite of steak.

On tape, the paper reported, Rosen "acknowledges that the gala probably cost far more to produce than he reported on federal campaign forms." Rosen says of the fund-raiser, "We woulda never done it if the guy [Peter Paul] said he spent $2 million. So now he's [Paul] saying he spent $2 million on an event that raised $1.4." Rosen goes on to agree that "he may have" spent the $2 million.

I am more and more convinced that she is just the best at doing what she does.

Enough with the Stockholm Syndrome!

These people have you so mentally beaten that you not only think they are invincible, you are starting to admire them for being so evil.

Most of the stuff they have gotten away with has been closely-held, small-time crookery. A four-person real estate deal in Arkansas; some two-person Mystery Transactions in cattle futures that netted her $100 grand. Pissant stuff.

This time she stepped in it. There were hundreds of people involved with this. Cameras and videocams were going the whole time. There were hundreds of transactions among dozens of people, many of whom have so much money that they do not need any favor that Bill or Hillary Clinton could ever grant. They would as soon flick the Arkansas social climbers into jail as look at them. There are mountains of receipts, letters, faxes, and pictures in the hands of hundreds.

There is no way to keep everybody on the reservation, and the whole deal hushed up with some code of omerta.

Worse for her, we don't live in the media environment of 1992 anymore. The median age of people watching the Alphabet Nightly News is 60. CNN is in the tank. Two guys on Free Republic jump up and grab Dan Rather's ankles, and down he goes. The Head Duck of CNN goes to Switzerland and mouths off, and the bloggers nail him, too.

As Rush said yesterday, "What are you afraid of? The woman shaves her legs one leg at a time."

She could very easily end up indicted from all of this, and that will put the kabosh on any plans she has to be president of the United States. We can help make this happen, by making sure the word gets out about this stuff; just as we did with the Swift Vets, whom the media did not want to say one word about.

But that's not going to happen if everybody is so mentally beaten that they go, "We can't do anything. She's too powerful. It won't do any good. She'll just get off again. We should just bend over and let her do us again." Feh.

Flipping properties and fiddling with cattle futures is small change. But Hillary was up to her eyeballs in the "big tobacco" fleecing. Along with her attorney friends. They made a bundle.

Dick Morris: STEAK DINNER COULD COOK HILL

This is the very first sign that the scandal is going nowhere.

Morris has about a zero percent accuracy rate.

Not to mention the MSM is already in full spin mode making this story all about Hillary's political enemies trying to pull HER into a scandal to hurt her chances for a Presidential run. I see numerous mega barfs coming on

Judging by the size of Hillary's fat a--, she's had way too many steak dinners.

Does this woman exercise? Does she realize that she's obese and a horrible role model to the "children?"

No Nicky, I am not mentally beaten and I do not think they are invincible and I do not admire them for being so evil. What I described was my sense of what they stand for. I believe that you must keep your friends close and your enemies closer. I want to keep you real close along with the politician trash because you and they are enemies of mine. I don't need anymore of your crappy personal attacks so bugger off.
