There will always be "it's cool to be different" people, and the more one wins, the "cooler" it is to claim that you're different.

It's a Catch-22 for any political movement, and rather tricky to overcome if we want to keep moving rightward after achieving victories.

Still more people will vote for the underdog "just to be fair", and for no other reason.

I am going to have nightmares for the rest of my life. Those pictures are agonizing torture. You should be sent to Hague and tried for international war crimes for posting that pic of Helen Thomas. We should've used those pics as interrogation devices at Abu Ghraib. That would have ended the insurgency then and there.

She's adjusting her clothing, reaching over her shoulder with one arm. That particular photo is on the cover of a book of photos of "Pols Looking Ugly" that I've seen at a Hastings book store. I didn't buy it...

I know, I'm dying to know that too. It's enough to make any sane (or insane) person foreswear a life of "public service" that is for sure.

I often imagine news photographers (and my father-in-law was one, but he passed away before I could interrogate him on this point) taking their rolls of film and peering over them and saying "Let's run this shot, the person looks like a complete freak!"

Look at John Francois Kerry, the photogs, or maybe the cameras, just HATED him.

Helen Thomas could start a second career doing roles in theatre productions of "Hansel and Gretel", "The Wizard of Oz", and "Baba Yaga". Guess which role she could play in each and every one of them.

It's actually something most people don't realize.

Most of "our" women are born-again Christians. You will find that as a whole - these women have better complexions - take better care of themselves physically - dress better - and are just prettier.

Most democrat/liberal women reject GOD - don't take care of themselves, and dress like dowdy old women.
