HAPPY MOTHERS DAY, remembering Mom...Could it have really been 25 years since I kissed my Mom good night? How could that be, it seems like only yesterday? Her memory is still fresh, her wonderful smile is vivid in my mind. I can still feel the tenderness of her kiss on my cheek, and I can recall everything she whispered to me as I held her close... Could it have been so long ago...
I still remember you Mom... each and every time I say good night to the kids on a holiday... I kiss them once more just for you...
I still remember you Mom... every time I see my sons and daughters and hold and kiss my grandchildren... I still think of you holding me...
I still remember you Mom...in oh so many ways... more than ever, tonight...... tears
Thanks Carlo :) To all FReeper mom out there, and the kids and spouses who love them - HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Today is hard,I lost my Mom three years ago to A.L.S.There is not a day goes by that I do not think of her .She was a good mom always thinking of her children first .I only wish I could see her one more time.Happy Mother's Day to All! Remember to cherish each day with you Mom!
What a terrible host I have become, I put up a post and then run off until the cows come home..
How wonderful to see you on our thread, I hope all or most of the surgery problems have been left behind.. I just know you are feeling your oats again.. :)
I have his new CD.. VALENTINO.. TEACH ME TONIGHT,. on line on my PC, I can send it by email to you if you would be kind enough to post it on this thread.. I know everyone will enjoy it, especially our LOVELY kraven women and girls.. :) Just remember he is still just a baby, just 16 years old.. sigh
Woooohooooo! Luv ya too, Carlo! (And I'm not telling my husband!)
I am still learning after having raised 3 kids as a single dad.. My last are in High School, and college.. I am not sure exactly who raised whom.. The kids had their hands full keepin this old man in line, instead of the other way around.. I keep them so busy, trying to keep me out of trouble, they have little time to screw-up themselves.. :)
OK I agree.. HE'S OUT.. Now, how about a BIG Italian SMOOCH.. {{{{{{{WOO HOO }}}}}}
Here's a Modthers' Day joke that the Pastor of my church told this morning:
A little girl, about 8 years old, was helping her mother dry the dishes when she noticed that her mother had 2 white hairs sparkling in her dark tresses.
"How did you got those white hairs," she asked.
Hoping to make a teaching moment, her mother replied, "Every time you are naughty, one of my hairs turns white."
The little girl, being very smart for her years, asked, "Well, how come grandma's hair is ALL white?"
Everyone in church laughed, but Father Tom was not quite done with his story yet. He grinned impishly and continued, "The quick thinking mother answered, 'She's your FATHER's mother.' "
Happy Mothers' Day all.
Man!, You forgot the tissue alert.

That kind of fast thinking reminds me of a true story about a buddy I served with in the Air Force.. I will try to keep this short.. Both he and I were standing sentry duty while in basic training..
He (Corp) Banks, Chicago Cub slugger Earnie Banks nephew, was always pushing the envelope by resting on duty, and trusting me to alert him in the event our CO was coming.. One evening even I dosed off for a moment..
I was leaning against the wall in the barricks, but he was on one knee leaning his head against his rifle when out of nowhere the Captain was standing tall infront of me.. I shouted with shock CORPORAL MORELLI Sir.. My buddy kept his head bowed and said in hushed tones.."AMEN"..
I got 50 push-ups, and KP the next 3 days, he got an "AS YOU WERE AIRMAN, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK".. sheeesh
Welcome Chef.. this is an all-emotion-all-the-time thread.. It is good to see you my Chef FRiend.. What's cookin.. :)
Fixin to head to bed here in a few, been a long week. Worked a double shift Friday and then Midnight-09:00 Sat-Sun then back for 16:00-midnight Sunday. But I got Mon/Tues off.
I was thinking the other day that I had not see any posts from you in a while but never got around to looking to see where you had been lately.
Making Pasta tomorrow and gonna sit back with a bottle of Texas wine and relax- might even turn off the phone.
Coming to the party late has it's advantages - I get to read the whole thread.
Thanks for the presentation, Carlo.
When I called Mom today, she reminded me that it's hard for her to believe she'll be 90 in Sept., she may forget a few dates, etc. but she remembers to pray for all us young-uns and our young-uns and their young-uns and their young-uns.
