'Here it is. The smoking gun. The memo that has "IMPEACH HIM" written all over it.
'The top-level government memo marked "SECRET AND STRICTLY PERSONAL," dated eight months before Bush sent us into Iraq, following a closed meeting with the President, reads, "Military action was now seen as inevitable. Bush wanted to remove Saddam through military action justified by the conjunction of terrorism and WMD. But the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy."

relax... this memo contains nothing but the personal opinion of it's author, there so far seems to be zero corroboration from any of the addressees and the supposed "impeachable" offense is represented by the rather subjective opinion that the policy was driving the investigation. So what? Policy always drives investigations and it's nothing new. The only damage here was already done when Colin Powell sat before the UN and made the claim that he knew specifically where the WMD were stored and for making the case almost entirely around WMD.
Fact is, WMD was never the real reason we went into Iraq, neither was oil. Anyone with any common sense and serious attempt to understand the situation will know that the reason we went into Iraq was to establish a base of military operations that do not require the cooperation of the Saudis. Saudi Arabia is now on notice and we have at least 4 permanent military bases in the area to operate from. Only mistake we made was in the slight misleading of the public with this whole WMD thing. and the WMD story is entirely Colin Powell's fault, which may explain why he was sent packing.
This puny little memo is nothing to worry about...
