I'm sick and tired of the Schaivo gang. I thought you were going to talk about the Oskar Schindler family -- on Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Fox needs to give up on the Tragedy TV......and go back to covering the news.

How many more times are they going to exploit this story.

Maybe you should watch them and possibly you'll find some compassion in your heart.

Not a scintilla. I'm saving mine for Oskar Schindler. Our family lost many members in the Holocaust and my Daddy and six of his ten brothers fought to be sure his children wouldn't suffer the same fate.

I prefer to spend Holocaust Remembrance Day thinking of that -- and leading up to a huge celebration of V-E Day's 60th anniversary on Sunday.

Not a scintilla.

There you go. Keep that compassion compartmentalised. Some are worthy, others are not. That'll work.

I was thinking about these people yesterday, as a local firefighter came out of 'near pvs' after 10 years. I was wondering if they'd been following the news on this one, as the similarities to Terri were not insignificant.

Report I read said his brain was deprived of oxygen for 6 minutes. He was in a coma for a couple of months, then snapped out of it into this 'near pvs.' Report also said he remembered an awful lot, but thought he'd been asleep only for a couple of months and not 10 years. Very moving, hope he continues to do well.

I think you're being sarcastic...again, comparing the holocaust to Terri Schiavo. Not clever...just...lazy.

#5..exploit?

I was glad Hannity was there to shed light on it, and give voice to the family.

Wow, that might have been a bit uncalled for.

The point of the Schindler tragedy is the same as the Holocaust. The only difference is the numbers involved. If you deem anyone, particularly someone who is helpless to defend themself, unworthy of continued life, you are sliding down a very fast and slippery slope to perdition. The cry of Never Again stemming from the Holocaust, I hope, will become the cry regarding what happened to Terri Schindler.

Hitler started with the physically handicapped and mentally retarded.

Terri Schindler was killed due to the indifference of our frequently thoughtless and selfish culture, the lack of truth in media reports, the ill will of a husband who had moved on with his life, and a judge and attorney who were both pro-euthanasia.

If that doesn't trouble you, with your interest and concern about the Holocaust, it should. I am not by any means minimizing the evil that was done then. Past history can be prelude to the future, and a utilitarian and/or selective view of the worthiness of human life may lead to a repeat of the Holocaust - as indeed it is already within the abortion industry.
