You are our Creator, breathing the very breath of life into us. You are our Sustainer, being the foundation of our lives. You are our Rock, being steadfast and unchanging even as our world is chaotic and confused. You are our Comforter, sending Your Holy Spirit to minister to our souls. And You are our Redeemer, sending Your own precious Son, spotless and without blame, to die for our transgressions. Lord, we confess to being unworthy and yet we rejoice that You have chosen to adopt into Your family those of us who accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Hallowed be thy name, indeed!
Father, we lift up to You our brother in Christ, President George W. Bush, a man who is a sinner as we all are but a man who openly proclaims his love for You and proudly speaks Your Name. He is a man who witnesses to Your saving grace and Your power to change lives. Father, You have given him a great position and yet he has remained humble, knowing his need for You in his life. Meet his needs, O Lord; pour out Your blessings upon him that he may carry out the duties before him. Keep him safe on his upcoming trip and place Your words within him as he speaks to those from other nations.
Lord, we are fortunate to have heroes among us - those who serve in our military. That they are willing to sacrifice even unto death to help preserve the liberty that is Your gift to all mankind is one of the greatest of blessings for our nation. Be their Shield and their Defender and hold their families close to Your heart.
Lord, our people have sinned greatly against You and our nation needs Your forgiveness and renewal that can come only from You. And yet as we ponder our history, we also see much that is good. Our forefathers sought Your guidance and heeded Your word as they established our government. We praise Your blessed Name for the courage and foresight of those who first came to this land and who founded our country. We thank You for Your wisdom and Your blessings through the years. We ask that You continue to bless America in the coming days as You have so richly blessed her in the past. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Dear Jesus we thank You for the blessings You shed upon this great nation of ours...Forgive us for the transgression we are all guilty of, may we all come to our senses that it is You alone that matters. Our goal, our main purpose for being here is to know You and to Love You with all our minds and hearts and some day share Eternity with You...........Bless our President Bush, may his faith and trust be in You always....Keep watch over our troops stationed in far away places, and cherish their families for making sacrifices....In Jesus name we pray
