Because they are feeling some heat on immigration and are circling their wagons.

That was my first thought, too. That, and Cannon is the one who doesn't uphold Republican values.

Tancredo started this when his PAC went after Cannon in a primary last year. That tends to p#$$ people off.

Tancredo has something in common with Sensenbrener (sp?), Delay, and our forefathers. He's not afraid to put it on the line for our country.

I know. I really like President Bush but there are some things I disagree with him on, such as this guest worker program.

I agree with Representative Tancredo: we need to do everything we can to secure our borders and we can't reward illegal immigrants.

Cannon's score, since everyone quotes ACU ratings...

Representative Chris CANNON (R)
Utah, District 3
2004 Score - 100
Previous Year's Score - 92
Lifetime Score - 97
Years of Service - 8

I dont know why Tank seems to want to attack attack attack, but then again, there may be a reason he can't seem to get any committee chairs or anything...

After spending several years starting oil exploration crews for Pemex and re-reading Atlas Shrugged, I think I have The reason Mexico has become so bad.

I like the Mexican people in the fly over parts of Mexico. The mid level and workers of Pemex are good. It is the government and the high up in Pemex that are the vultures and looters. The peso was about 8 cents (12.5 to a dollar). When Pemex found the sito grande, a very large oil pool that covers parts of the states of Chiapas and Tabasco also a long ways into the Gulf of Mexico.

Pemex borrowed billions to produce this great oil find. The looters (government) stole most of the money and what they did buy was junk oil rigs and drill pipe, etc. 1,000 pesos which was worth about $80 now will not buy a coke. This was due to the looters stealing billions from the Mexican people. This is old pesos.
Instead of overthrowing the looters the Mexican people had an out, they had no weapons and they could cross into America and have a much safer life. This hurts both Mexico and America as Mexico lost some of it's hardest workers. The gangbangers also came over from Mexico as they could rape and pillage at will.

The government of Mexico is propped up by the billions sent back by the illegals and by our government having borders that are too open.

The only chance I see to help America and Mexico is to seal the border, deport the people who are not here legaly. We also need to arm the Mexican people so they can have a chance against the looters with their armies.

"If not for the undocumented workers in this country, I'd say that this room would not have been as clean and well-organized this morning," Gutierrez said."

That's just sad. Really...

""I think he ought to consider his views and decide whether they're consistent with the Republican Party," Rep. Chris Cannon, R-Utah, said of the Colorado congressman after the two clashed repeatedly during a forum sponsored by the Latino Coalition, a Hispanic business group."

WOW! If Mr. Cannon is the measure of a Republican then it might be time for me to go too.

""If not for the undocumented workers in this country, I'd say that this room would not have been as clean and well-organized this morning," Gutierrez said."

Indeed. How in the hell has America ever accomplished anything without the help of illegal aliens. Mr. Gutierrez is just another example of an American that defends illegal aliens while insulting fellow citizens.

"I think he ought to consider his views and decide whether they're consistent with the Republican Party,"

How about "I think the Republican Party ought to reconsider its views and decide whether they're consistent with the American People."

If this country suffers another 9/11 like attack traced to terrorists who snuck in from Mexico, the GOP had better run to the nearest non-extradition country.

The debate began with a third panelist, Rep. Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill., denouncing unnamed people he said were exploiting the immigration issue because of bigotry, hatred and prejudice.

There they go again, when faced with good arguments and there's nothing else to say....scream bigotry, hated and prejudice.

We need to let this Representative know what we think. Who has a link to email this character?

Thanks for posting this. I have some family members in Utah -- don't know if they're in the 3rd District. But I'll be doing some heavy lobbying AGAINST Cannon with my family. I can guarantee they will vote AGAINST him if he continues to represent illegals at the expense of the citizens in the 3rd District. It appears that Cannon's first obligation is $$$$$ anyway -- exploiting illegals benefits shareholders and business owners, certainly

Chris Cannon is one of the best friends that an illegal alien can have in Congress. And Luis Gutierrez is just as racist as Robert Byrd is.

"I don't think there's a place in the Republican Party for racism, for xenophobia, for ideas that are fundamentally un-American," Cannon said.

Adopting the Dem tactics?

10 years from now, if the Republicans are still the majority party, they will have only Tancredo to thank.

Immigration is a HUGE issue in this country, and it cuts across all parities and all demographics. While the Republicans tend to ignore it, even Hillary is now to the right of Bush, as she has called for sealing our boarders.

If the Republican party would listen to Tom, and do it with class - by the way, they can put the final nail in the Democratic coffin, and we'll all be done with these clowns.

Need to write to Cannon that he may be the one who doesn't belong. And I don't mean in the party, I mean in office.
