For the freedom you enjoyed yesterday...
Thank the Veterans who served in The United States Armed Forces.
~May~ National Military Appreciation Month~
We thank you, you who volunteer To join the military to protect what's here... The Constitution, the Rule of law, Our way of freedom loved by all In this wondrous land of ours Whose Stars and Stripes flow freely Oer the land, whose seas are free, Dont tread on us... we are too, proud To let you turn us into dust!
We appreciate your bravery, your valor, Your honor, your gallantry, Thank You for all you do. And let Freedom ring the whole world through.
The price that's paid for freedom made an entire family terribly sad. A nation must know the price that's paid of blood, of tears, of love, greater than any made a life for freedom paid.
May our gracious God touch the hearts and ease their pain. Their loved one did not die in vain... A Hero walks tall in a lofty land of peace and will be forever young, In the Mansions of the Lord.
Amen

Hi Guys,
At work today with the Pegasus Parade going on literally at my back. I can watch it out the window of my office.
My on the spot report. The Kentucky Air National Guard had a contingent with a Plane float. As they walked past you should have seen the wave of people standing and clapping.
I was so proud.
Thank You Kentucky National Guard and Thank you to all our military personnel.

But I have a black heart. I need proof. Have you actually seen your heart? Do you have photos? Are you Irish?
Considering the company you keep . . .

Just between you and me, I thought I was nice, too. I try to be. But I'm afraid that I have indeed frightened a small number of people and am still not sure why.

The first part of it was pretty exciting,
"My Old Kentucky Home" with a Bagpipe and drum corps. ROFL.
I love bagpipes but the tune and the instrument weren't congruent.
It has gotten busier so I haven't been able to watch much.
The window is open and I can hear the marching bands go past.
Even though the theme is "50 years of Rock and Roll" many of the songs have been Patriotic.
We are a Red State.

Col. David. H. Hackworth, 1930-2005 Legendary U.S. Army Guerrilla Fighter, Champion of the Ordinary Soldier
Washington, D.C., May 5, 2005 Col. David H. Hackworth, the United States Army's legendary, highly decorated guerrilla fighter and lifelong champion of the doughboy and dogface, ground-pounder and grunt, died Wednesday in Mexico.
I know the feelings about Col. Hackworth are wide and varied. But he WAS a soldier. 3 times nominated for the MOH (3rd one is currently being reviewed at the Pentagon)
I have disagreements with him on his politics and we even discussed some of them via e-mail at times. But he went above and beyond during his time in the uniform.
Prayes for him and his family.

A helping hand carries a wet, frightened kitten plucked from a Punta Gorda, Fla., drainage pipe. The weeks-old kitty is one of two surviving kittens from a litter that police say may have been thrown from a moving vehicle.
