All right. Finished Medved, and on KSKY-660AM, Savage follows. Get this: He immediately starts in with the First Lady, talked about how the "Bushes" played the Christian vote for suckers, and he gives compliments the first ladies of France and Germany over ours. Next, he whines about his being "blacklisted."
This mouthbreather is something else! Have at it. I had to share.

Savage is an uninteresting entertainer and a political neophyte. He knows nothing, but will say anything.
Not worth my time.

I wish you had heard the show where he espoused his "religious" views. I could not make much sense of it but it was NOT Christian. It was kind of pan-religious-universalist-reincarnationist-quasi-ecumenical-deist weirdnesss-Jesus-Buddah-all-is-good something or other.
BUT he usually is supportive of conservative Christianity, and not against Jesus.
Hope he does become a Christian someday.

I've always thought he should've just changed his first name..."Savage Weiner" would suit him well.

Savage is a complete a total waste of time and oxygen. His "stream of semi-consciouness" ravings just show him to be barely this side of functional. He airs on a local talk station here, but I won't listen to him any more. If I want to listen to a car wreck, I'll go stand by the interstate. Not even morbid curiosity can get me to listen to someone have a breakdown on the air night after night.
He's wrong about the Laura Bush thing as well, but as a man desperately seeking a niche market in which to separate himself from other talkers, he'll latch on to anything controversial, take a contrarian position, and run with it. I'm stunned he's still given air time, to be honest. Certainly there are other mental patients who are a bit more lucid and coherent than is he. But hey, at least he hasn't publicly stated he hopes Laura gets AIDS and dies... yet.

Agreed. He seems to admit to his manic depression and obsessive/compulsion. He also seems to be a kind of megalomaniac, but there's something compelling about him, with his New York accent and way of cutting through the baloney. He usually hits the target politically. However, he leans left on economic issues and doesn't seem clear the need for nonpolitical judges to resolve our judicial/constitutional crisis.
I guess that explains why I like Savage a lot. I know on other issues I've discussed and debated here, I've admitted to being very conservative on social, economic and military matters as well as religious ones but I'm more of a centrist/moderate on economic and labor issues. I used to listen to Chuck Harder a lot too and liked him for the same reasons. In many ways, Savage seems like Chuck Harder upgraded with a Chevy 409 engine with a 4 barrell carburetor. B-) Yeah, I feel a bit manic depressive too politically, everytime I think we win something, we lose elsewhere and vice versa. It is a tug of war that will do that to anyone. I guess Savage is like the voice of all of us who feel and think that way but are more silent and/or don't have a huge forum for it. Savage's words can reach millions so I think that's my $0.50 answer too all of this.

"This is what? Day # 3 of his relentless attacking of Laura Bush?"
I usually find him entertaining, but I was done with the topic after the first day. What else can be said? I've moved on, but I guess he still has issues over it. I'll listen to something else on the way home tonight.

His real name is Michael Wiener. How appropriate.
Yes it is. :)

I think he is more disappointed with her, than angry at her. He used to go ga-ga over her beauty, grace and class. The fact that she stooped to gutteral, bestialty jokes you would expect from liberal pukes like Rosie and Whoopi, is what really upset him. His image of her is now tarnished and he can't handle it.
You know what, I think that's it with Savage and with me too about Laura Bush's routine. I always had this "Neo-Victorian/Edwardian/1950's" image of Laura Bush and I think the routine sort of knocked me off kilter on me having that image of her. I don't rant on and on like Savage does but it doesn't sit too well with me to say the least, sort of like how hot wings would sit in my stomach when I eat them a 2 AM then go to bed. I'm no prude by any means, but there is a time and place for that. Heck, I enjoy things like South Park, "Adult Swim," and so on from time to time, but I think I expect more from my leaders in public.

Check out # 48. This is what Free Republic has now sunk to, all in the name of Christian purity.

Mr. Lucky2 says that Savage is the Howard Stern of conservatives. I'm not real fond of Savage any longer. He's much too hard on the President and I think his constant criticism is fodder for the Rats who love this kind of conservative bashing of the President.

Laura really blew it by telling liberal, baudy, jokes. On that score, Savage was right (this was yesterday). I can't comment on what he is saying today as I am not listening.

So you accuse her of "bestiality" jokes too? You just reprinted it and agreed with it.

Michael Savage on air, and Michael Savage off air are two different people. Off air, he's quite calm and sensible; very open. It is said the acorn doesn't fall too far from the tree, and Michael Savage's son, Russell, is 100% wonderful. Wish he'd won his race in Marin.

I don't get why the First Lady was branded as this shy, passive housewife; I've always seen her as a very intelligent, modern woman who reminds me alot of my mother.

I don't need Michael Savage or you to tell me what Laura did. I heard her and drew my own conclusions. And no, I didn't hear any "bestiality" jokes as your fellow First Lady bashers are saying she told. So this is the insanity of the extremist wacko interpretation of her remarks.

To: k2blader
I also agree with him about us being suckered to a degree.
I did not care for laura's off color jokes.
not condemning mind you, just didn't care for them.
If I want dirty jokes and double entendres about strippers, I can always tune howard stern in, at least as long as the fcc allows him to continue on air.
