All right. Finished Medved, and on KSKY-660AM, Savage follows. Get this: He immediately starts in with the First Lady, talked about how the "Bushes" played the Christian vote for suckers, and he gives compliments the first ladies of France and Germany over ours. Next, he whines about his being "blacklisted."
This mouthbreather is something else! Have at it. I had to share.

So you accuse her of "bestiality" jokes too? You just reprinted it and agreed with it.
Well, I just quoted the poster so it is easier to see what I was responding to, but I do think there is some hyperbole there. I'm not totally bent out over it, but it just doesn't sit too well with me on many levels.
I guess I haven't felt this way since I found out that the WWF (World Wrestling Federation, now WWE, but it was WWF then) was fixed and not legit when I was a kid. B-P That's the best way I can explain it.

But it makes them feel so morally superior and self righteous.
Nauseating.

Mrs. Bush was ill advised to make such remarks at her husband's expense. So you two believe this was done without the express consent of President Bush and Rove? Unbelievably naive.

I don't need Michael Savage or you to tell me what Laura did. I heard her and drew my own conclusions. And no, I didn't hear any "bestiality" jokes as your fellow First Lady bashers are saying she told. So this is the insanity of the extremist wacko interpretation of her remarks. I thought most of her routine was hysterical and done very well. The part about going with CR, LC, and KH to the Chippendales was funny, especially when she said she wouldn't even mention it except that Ruth BaderMeinhof and Sandra Day O'Connor saw them there....
OTOH I could have done without the image of W jerking off a horse. It's possible that you only saw the sound bites that didn't include that one, many didn't include it; but she did tell a little "funny" about how W got better about ranching--having originally tried to milk the horse. And it was male horse. You can call that anything you want to, but I could have done without that one. The rest was great IMO.

I don't get why the First Lady was branded as this shy, passive housewife; I've always seen her as a very intelligent, modern woman who reminds me alot of my mother.
I do agree she is all the things you said but I just find it "acting out of character" so to speak.

RE: Hope he does become a Christian someday.
No guarantee but it would likely help him drop the booze during working if not becoming a teetotaler. That would make him immensely more effective. He's got a good brain but a messed up lifestyle.

I honestly only listen to him if I'm caught in commuter traffic and my other conservative talk show is running five minutes of commercials.
Mostly what I hear is more painful than the commercials I'm avoiding.
He's rude to callers who don't worship his every word. He wants to nuke everyone. He hates Bush. It's just painful.
To: rdb3
Why, when you know this guy is over the top, do you folks listen to him.
My take on this whole thing, yes, the Bush team played the conservative christians like a fiddle just like Jesse Jackson does the blacks. The Bush's needed every vote they could get. If they (conservative christians) aren't smart enought to figure that out, then that's their fault. But what's wrong with that. Connservative Christians got what they wanted.
Yes, Mrs. Bush said some edgy things and depending on ones tasts, and they don't have to be prudes, some of it wasn't in the best taste, but I doubt she's going to hell and I don't think she's a slut. And yes, it was a little of a let down, but then again, it's her life and what she's thought of by her public. If she wants the world to envision her husband "milking" a male horse, then everyone close your eyes and picture W and Mr. Ed with W's hand desperately trying to get milk from Ed on a special part of Ed's body. See, it's no big deal. It's a known joke in Texas told around the camp fire when city slickers come to town. And it's what she had you envision. Happy?
Yes, there are people who's panties are in a wad, but there are also just as many "no matter what they did" defenders. Get real people! Meet somewhere in the middle. Ain't the end of the world.

I agree. I never miss Savage. There are plenty of times when he gets a "bit" over-inflated, which can be a bit off-turning, but I think he is more in touch with the people than some like to admit.

He's right.....talking about milking a male horse....going into a strip club?.......Desperate housewives?.......This is funny?....I don't think so....and I do have a sense of humor....I just did not think anything she said was funny at all....and look who was in the audience.......Jane Fonda.....Richard Gere......no Rush......No Hannity.....just a bunch of wining Liberals........Savage was right on this one.

I used to listen to Chuck Harder too and really liked him. His economic views never ruffled my feathers because I've lived my whole life in an area peopled with "Reagan Democrats." Some of us just figured out the Democrats left us long before Reagan was elected.

I think I found Savage in the late 1990's, listened to him, then lost him until 2000 when I was tuning around the dial as I was delivering pizzas at the time so he was my co-pilot during that time. B-) He just basically says things I agree with a lot, now I don't agree with him on everything, but I think he is on the mark a lot more than he is not. I guess him being from working class roots and still showing it is an added plus to me.

I'm the same way, I live in Pittsburgh so I do have some "Pittsburgh Democrat" in me, basically those who did vote for Reagan mainly on moral issues. Harder was a real gem on the radio, in a way, he was like Michael Savage a lot but you could say if they got together, Harder would be "good cop" to Savage's "bad cop." Harder is still on satellite, his "For The People" is on hard times last I heard. I loved how Harder got together with R.L Drake radio and sold an American made shortwave radio on the air, I think he called it "The People's radio" or something like that, it's been a while. Chuck Harder is right on too.

I also haven't found his comments about Laura to be a big deal. She is the first "lady" after all. I agree with Savage's general point: If she wants to make jokes she should make jokes at her/our enemies expense not The President of the United States.

lol. What you see in public is Michael's "public" personnae. I think what has happened to Michael over the years? He's tried very hard to reach out to liberals in the SF Bay; It simply cannot be done. Their synapsese are kilned closed. And he gets angry in seeing what was once a beautiful place to live: The SF Bay Area -- turned into what it is now; a mental pigstye. That's what I think so much of his more lately reactions are coming from.
