Maybe if McG married his boyfriend, Golan Cipel, the poll numbers would increase? Then, too, Cipel would be a US citizen and could get back his cushy $110,000 job as HomeLandSec advisor, complete with the Mercedes SUV, and other perks of the job, courtesy of the taxpayers.

I'm surprised this article doesn't mention car insurance, which went down a lot in New Jersey. Previously rates were at mob-extortion levels, now they are in line with the rest of the country. McG took credit for the decrease. I don't know whether he's justified in that or not.

Five months after Gov. James McGreevey left office in disgrace, the Star-Ledger has finally buried the fact that McSleezy bowed out of office to avoid an extortion charge.

I wonder if that extortion charge will ever see the light of day. I think it's unlikely, and wonder if we'll ever know why.

Yes, it was the corruption that did McGreevey in. Many have noted how McGreevey conveniently took up the banner of gay rights in an effort to divert attention from the charges and make criticism of him sound like "gay-bashing." A true Oprah moment!

From the article: The Zogby-Garden State Equality poll, which surveyed 804 New Jersey voters from April 12 to 14, has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

While I realize many NJ voters are delusional, I still question the poll. And he did leave to avoid the numerous corruption chargees. It was common knowledge that he was gay going back to his Woodbridge days.
