PETER PAUL TO APPEAR ON RADIO WITH TONY SNOW, SEAN HANNITY
phone conversation with Peter Paul | 5-3-05 | dfu

Posted on 05/03/2005 9:59:17 PM PDT by doug from upland

The story of Hillary Clinton's massive campaign fraud in 2000 that allowed her to literally steal the senate seat from Rick Lazio will not be silenced.

Hillcap.org will continue to expose the misdeeds, and my series on FreeRepublic will continue to tell Peter Paul's side of the story..

Following up his brief appearance on the Hannity and Colmes TV show, I was just told by Paul that he has two radio appearances scheduled for Wednesday, May 4.

He will be on with Tony Snow from 9 to 9:30 AM, Eastern and with Sean Hannity at 4:30 PM, Eastern.

It is so great to hear Tony again. It looks like the power of prayer worked, our friend.

I think I read that Tony said the conference took OUT the Dorgan/Kerry amendment re: Cisneros investigation, is that true?

Yes!!

Some are better than others

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1396276/posts?page=117#117

It's impossible to come up with every actual quote from a college commencement speech in SF of CT where she goes totally hysterical and nuts - but it is helpful for some so hear an audio of the exact words (some of mine are "enhance-parody") to give them proper impact

Hillary' voice changed over the years and still does from situation to situation

How she speaks with Tim Russert, to MoveOn.org, and to a women's university graduation group will all sound like a different person

I'd still like to get the audio from her speech at that CT women's college graduatio a few years ago

Her voice got higher and more "manic" as she went on

It's like Hillary -

Sean is setting up Peter's appearance. I think it is scheduled for 4:30 Eastern. Sean is saying that Paul has called Hillary an indicted co-conspirator. Duh.

Sean asking where is the media on this?

Peter was great on Tony Snow this morning. I think Sean might have gotten up to speed on this stuff since last night. This is a bad hair day for Queen Hillary. The mainstream is going to have to be dragged into this kicking and screaming.

Sean did a great job of setting up Peter's interview. Some of you critics may be interested in knowing that he didn't even plug his book. :)

Interesting times ahead

By David House

Star-Telegram Staff Writer

Tuesday's letters to the editor carried thoughts from Ralph Sobel, an Arlington Republican who wants aggressive examination of questionable fund-raising activity by Sen. Hillary Clinton's 2000 campaign.

His last paragraph intrigued me. "The Bias Patrol is sure that the Star-Telegram will make the same strong effort to go after the truth about Hillary Clinton as it has with Tom DeLay. We just won't hold our breath!"

His reference to Clinton, D-N.Y., followed news that Raymond Reggie, a longtime Democratic power broker and media consultant in Louisiana, has secretly helped the Justice Department investigate David Rosen, Clinton's campaign finance director in 2000.

A federal grand jury indicted Rosen in January, accusing him of understating the cost of a Hollywood fund-raiser, held in August 2000, in order to claim more net proceeds for Clinton's coffers.

Meanwhile, Reggie pleaded guilty a few days ago to bank fraud in his dealings with banks in New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

The son of a politically prominent former judge, Reggie is extensively connected within local, state and national Democratic circles. His sister Victoria is the wife of Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass.

Sobel looks at all this and sees a major political scandal forming. He isn't confident that the liberal mainstream media will give a Clinton scandal the scrutiny it deserves, preferring to play softball with Hillary while clubbing House Majority Leader DeLay, R-Sugar Land, with relentless coverage of his battles against accusations of unethical practices.

Rest assured that the mainstream media, bloggers and other Internet purveyors of news and information will swarm the fund-raising controversy.

I hope that sensitivities, at least among the mainstream journalists, to fairness, accuracy and balance will be set and kept at the highest levels in light of media scandals that have sapped journalism's credibility.

Coverage inevitably will be biased. But as I've said before, bias is like cholesterol: There are two types -- good and bad.

Good bias streams from curiosity that's open-minded but needs a starting point, a dominant question that sprouts from a flexible opinion. Open-minded journalists who cover the approaching fund-raising issue will be as curious as anyone about the evidence, the players and where the details could lead.

If some are looking to prove a predetermined conclusion or opinion, they could bring bad bias into the mix -- a form of closed-minded advocacy that's commentary at best and deceit at worst, not journalism.

There'll be ample opportunity to study the media's work as they follow what could become one of the year's biggest political stories, depending on how compelling the evidence is in Rosen's trial.

Even on a rudimentary level, the outlook for coverage is strong. Three fonts will definitely spew news nationally and internationally:

• Rosen's trial begins Tuesday in Los Angeles. It should pull advance coverage, spot daily coverage and follow-up coverage.

• The Truth About Hillary: What She Knew, When She Knew It, and How Far She'll Go to Become President -- a book by Edward Klein, editor of The New York Times Magazine from 1977 to 1988 -- will be released in September by Sentinel, considered to be a conservative imprint of Penguin Books.

The book will torpedo Clinton, according to conservative notables such as Internet gossip czar Matt Drudge. The book's release should pull considerable coverage.

• Reggie's sentencing is set for Oct. 26. It should draw advance coverage, spot daily coverage and follow-up coverage.

Further, in the near future there could be any number of related hard-news developments based on investigation, speculation, leaks and debate among the powers that be. Commentators on the left, right and in between will air out the issues from their perspectives. Polls will track public sentiment.

Meanwhile, competition among print and broadcast media, particularly those based in New York City and Washington, should propel coverage.

Regional newspapers such as the Star-Telegram will rely on news services for coverage because we do not have national staff. If a local or Texas angle develops, we'll go after it as we have pursued Texas-related developments in the DeLay story.

Regarding Sobel's interest in equal coverage of Clinton and DeLay, the matters are on disparate levels. In all fairness, it should be pointed out that DeLay is squarely in the cross hairs of officials in Congress and in Austin, and documentation (albeit disputed) is involved.

Consequently, DeLay is the principal subject of coverage. In the fund-raising matter, the focus is on Rosen and Reggie, not Clinton. That would change if trails lead in her direction.

And coverage of the ethics battles in Congress will shift as other lawmakers' ethics are questioned -- a growing likelihood that we're watching closely. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., already is fending off accusations that one of her advisers violated ethics rules in connection with a trip to Spain and Germany.

What will come out in the wash is anyone's guess.

But I'd encourage Mr. Sobel to breathe easy and prepare for interesting reading.
