'24' : An hour of realism

Uh, yeah, sure. Realism to the max. It has a suitcase that allows someone to melt down every nuke in America. It has corporate interests in bed with Muslim terrorists because, hey, we can't have just plain ol' Muslim terrorists acting alone because that might get CAIR upset. It has terrorists engaged in several simultaneous plots, each of which individually would be almost impossible to pull off. And it has a small band of anti-terrorism experts working in a center that more resembles a soap opera than a serious agency.

" It has terrorists engaged in several simultaneous plots, each of which individually would be almost impossible to pull off."

Right.
Terrorist #1 "I have a great plan to attack the US"
Terrorist #2 "Ok, what is it"
T1 "First we steal a Stealth fighter"
T2 "Uh huh"
T1 "Then we shoot down Airforce 1"
T2 "Right"
T1 "Then we steal some pages of the nuclear football from the wreckage so we activate some stolen nukes..."
T2 Sounds good so far...

True. Total suspension of belief is mandatory to enjoy 24. It's a conservative fairy tale. Especially the torture of terrorists scenes. HOW I WISH!

'24' : An hour of realism

Terrorists steal a steath fighter... to shoot down Air force One,... to get the Football,... to steal the launchcodes... that lay in the house that Jack built.

I've only watched 15 minutes of '24' since it's inception. The plots are too predictable. A plate of ribs and a cold beer were far more enticing than sitting in front of the boob tube...even though I had to walk half a mile from my hotel room to the restaurant.

The "Murder She Wrote" series was likewise unbelievable. How many people ever have contact with a murder in the span of a lifetime? The main character manages a murder every week. Not very real.

And your point would be??? That Osama couldn't fly planes into the Twin Towers because that's too unreal? That Zarqawi doen't chop off heads because that would be too barbaric to show on the unreal "24"? That the Cole wasn't almost sunk by brazen "unrealistic" terrorists? That Tora Bora wasn't honeycombed with an unbelievable array of tunnels?

What IS your guys point? That you have zero, zilch, nada, imagination?

"It has corporate interests in bed with Muslim terrorists"

Has happened. In the mid 1980's some German executives were arrested in a conspiracy to sell enriched fissile material and centrifuges to the Syrians.
