Laura leaves 'em laughing, gasping

Who knew? First lady Laura Bush took over the podium from her husband at Saturday night's annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner and knocked 'em dead, keeping Washington's most powerful politicos in stitches as she worked the ballroom like a seasoned stand-up comic. "George always says he's delighted to come to these press dinners. Baloney. He's usually in bed by now," Mrs. Bush said. "I'm not kidding. I said to him the other day, 'George, if you really want to end tyranny in the world, you're going to have to stay up later.' "

I'm not convinced that even this is Laura's position though, since it corresponds with Hilary's stated position. Safe, legal and rare.

Sorry for my poorly thought out choice of words. Was merely trying to make the point that I didn't see this as a big deal, and was only seeing the humor in it. I have never seen an episode of Desperate Housewives to know what they act like on the show, yet Laura's remark, taken in it's context, was humorous nonetheless.

...and speaking of "cases of rape and incest", I heard some remarkable interviews of young adults that were "products" of rape and incest. These young people were amazing, if anyone would like to hear those tapes, you'll have to contact Focus on the Family. Oh, eeeeuuuwww, not THEM!! Yep, that's where you can find some real evidence on this issue.
