Shortly before the plane touched down at 9 p.m. in Atlanta, a flight attendant handed out a written statement from the Wilbanks family to the media that said: "She has spoken to her fiance. He cannot wait to see her. She says the wedding is not called off, just postponed."

Wait for the NEXT headline in this saga. "Runaway Bride SUES to keep gifts..."
My thoughts exactly. This is the ultimate media circus, where EVERYONE feels embarrassed. It just can't get any better, or worse, and I'll bet this changes media culture in some ways.
hotter? Define "hotter."
And does it have anything, really, to do with a good marriage?
My second ex wife has that. Talk about making life chaotic! If Mason marries her, I'm not going to feel like the dumbest male on the planet.
I won't argue with that. The solution, then, is to figure out what real love is, so you will no longer be deceived.
It is bizarre. What happens if he is foolish enough to marry her and some children get added to the mix?
Her behavior is not normal, and I hope she gets the right kind of help because it sounds like she needs it, and her pastor is not qualified for the kind of help it sounds like she may need, nor is her fiance.
And from what Fox reported, she's done the "cold feet" excuse twice before. Drama queen.
And with her, I'd want witnesses and a camera.
She's 32 and still hung up on that crap? I'd lost interest before learning the details of the "production".
She clearly has some disorder, but I can't see enough faults to qualify for BPD. If she ran because something made her angry, she certainly was slow to return to baseline. She was self absorbed and did not even realize she was on tv. So I give her a two maybe. Are there more?
We don't even know if she was angry, maybe just confused and uncertain. She did not look ahead very much, I think thats one of the characteristics. I believe the fiance will have trouble with this one.
I think you're right, and the world should back off.
We're still in the age of Clinton/Dick Morris/Doris Kearns Goodwin/ Mike Barnicle...forgive and (try to) forget, it's just as well.
Hopefully, nobodys gonna get killed.
Well, I guess I was wrong. But if he still wants the freak..
However I would call it Narcissistic Personality Disorder, which is rare in women. Hysterical Personality Disorder comes to mind also, but she is too disturbed for that one.
Diagnosis She has a Gopher loose in the garden. I only hope the Gopher doesn't have issues.
I am curious. Is the Sheriff's department and/or anyone else who wasted all those man hours searching for her going to present her with a bill? I sure as hell hope so.
What MY mom used to say is, whatever you do, marry a normal person without mental problems.
Reportedly she's done something like this before, at least twice.
No matter what her family says, she has such unsatisfying relations with them that she pulls a trick like running out a couple of days before a humongously expensive wedding instead of talking to anyone about it.
She left her parents crying and in hysterics for days, and it never occurred to her this was mean, wrong, selfish, etc?
She left her husband to face a huge mess. Three days before a wedding his fiance disappears. So she puts people through hell. So what. She can't handle it. I've met people like this. They are masters at dealing out pain.
She doubled back in Vegas and also cut her hair to "cover her tracks". Does she think this is a fun game to play?
Can you imagine her marrying and trying to raise children? Other people's money, or feelings, come secondary to her emotions. She makes stupid decisions. She's deceptive.
If this man marries her, his life will be hell. She'll tear his life to shreds.
Agree.
This woman has done this before and having to be escorted by the police like a child all the way home.
Yes they were on the plane with her.
My guess is the gal is probably very good at what she does as a nurse ect...but perhaps she has some mental issues with big crowds and the commitment of marraige.
She may not relize it but maybe she is not meant for the "married" life.
Seems her family knowing she has skipped out before would be supportive of her and not pushing the marraige/grandchildren issue.
I know for years well meaning Christian freinds pushed the God will send a Good man into your life as if I was not complete if I was not married.
I am too immature to be in a marraiged and know it. However others seem to want to be in denial about staying single.
I am all for the commitmant of marraige and family.
Not all of us are up to it though and can have great lives as singles.
Yeah by the Hispanic guy, he must have left her for the caucasion woman. LOL
ROFLMAO! Almost wet my pants w/that one.
Yes, Mason. Dump this chick now. And send her a 'thank you' card. She did you the biggest favor she possibly could by proving in no uncertain terms that she's a selfish, spacy drama queen who would have pulled this crap on you *after* she got married but just couldn't wait that long to rub your nose in her "issues".
Just consider the ring a payment for lessons learned and get the heck outta dodge. If you don't, she'll soon turn this whole thing into "your fault" and hold it like a gun over your wimpy head the rest of your adult life. Who needs that?
