Exactly how is the school supposed to deal with this problem? I have been in class with teenagers who 'lost it'. You can't hit them or anything. Teachers and Administrative officers have no power over these kids, and the kids know it. This child certainly can not be allowed to hit, kick and destroy her classroom. Do you know how many teachers are assaulted by students each year? Personally, I think DFACs needs to be called in these situations. The child is a danger to himself and to others. Also, it is totally unfair for 20 other kids to learn nothing because of this brat. Get troubled kids out of the schools into alternative schools.
A teacher with a) some personal presence and b) a lick of sense can keep a classroom under control. I did it for three years.
It's entirely possible to threaten in such a way that if your words are repeated to Mom by a crybaby student, they don't sound at all menacing.
Why isn't this little monster on Ritilin? Isn't that what they usually do?
You would think the school would either expell or suspend the brat.
How did the schools deal with it in the past? Do we really need to reinvent the wheel?
For one, students could be expelled from public schools. Today school administrators care more about maximizing funds recieved rather than education. This thinking has corrupted the entire public education process. Administrators will not admit that funding is their main objective and there are easy outs to distract attention away from it. Blame it on the courts, parents don't care etc.
