MMP II is on for October all across the border! 15,000 nominal volunteers (so far). Perhaps someone should inform the President.

This good reporter/volunteer (his small paper's sports editor, no less) went about collecting stories from the volunteers themselves and the people living in the Naco Corridor.

Also, member Boston Blackie just posted a good story about the Mara Salvatrucha gang spreading havoc, Authorities cope with gang’s immigration through Valley. Those guys - what a bunch of cutups.

Wow, would you live on the border knowing all this traffic is coming through your yard. My gosh, is their car safe left out at night. Is their house safe? Are they safe?

And why isn't Aberto Gonzales doing something about this? Wait! He said they are doing all they can.

LOL! To answer your question, property values in San Diego rose sharply after the last refortification of their border barriers.

Gonzales let it be known during his confirmation hearings that he has no interest at all in stopping the invasion. I "broke" that one myself (AG Nominee Gonzales on Illegal Immigration (Confirmation Hearing Excerpts)) when the usual peanut gallery of master baiters ticked me off by defending him.

And . . .
"That gang, MS 13, is working with Al Queda to help terrorists get into our country."

We know the OTM's are coming. It only follows they'd get help from the likes of MS13.

I sure wish Bush would get his head out of his ass on this border thing. I don't like thinking our President is stupid, but is he ever dumb when it comes to the borders. It's an enigma, he's smart enough to see the whole good vs evil thing, the them vs. western civilization thing, and yet dumb as box of Arizona rocks when it comes to the border. Trouble is, the very troubling trouble is, that no one can be that stupid. So, if it isn't stupidity it's an evil whoring out to special interests. And, suddenly, well, suddenly, we're left with a smart, but woefully compromised, POTUS.

"Upon reporting to orientation, volunteers were asked if they had brought a gun. They were asked to show a carrying concealed weapon permit."

Do you need a permit for a well-trained attack dog? That seems to be an effective way of doin' business, too.

I wrote in my column last week, "Double Crossing at the Rio Grande II," why the Minutemen succeeded in proving their point. And I had predicted that result two years ago in the first column with that name. (Both are up on FR, and on Chronwatch.com)

The bottom line is simple. It isn't necessary for the US to go to the expense of manning the border shoulder to shoulder from the Pacific to the Gulf. Instead, it is only necessary to reverse the incentives on Mexico so that IT at ITS expense, will close the border from the southern side.

That's one of the top questions. Is MS-13 helping terrorists? Frankly, I consider MS-13 to be a terror group in itself, and it appears that most members are foreigners, illegal aliens. A foreign terror group.

One thing they reportedly did was kill a lady in a wheel chair. Many gang members swarmer her. That's their favorite tactic. I was hoping they were all talk about their threats against the Minutemen, but hindsight, they are cowardly more than they are thuggish.

"MMP II is on for October all across the border! 15,000 nominal volunteers"

So, if we're interested in being part of MMP II, what's the next step? Where do go to find out more about it and sign up?

I met a pretty cool guy from Utah who brought his semi-trained attack doggies. These little guys would have licked any threat to death. He had them out on the line with him every shift.

"A lady living near Huachuca said she feels it necessary to take a guy when she walks her daughter to the school bus," Gabe reported.

A gun, not a "guy". And we all know this woman, she's unfairly banned FReeper idratherbepainting.

Oh, and Don in this article looks a little bit like Wyatt Earp. He's also a no-nonsense kinda guy. One day Gilchrist decided to take a bunch of people to caravan to the observation posts on the Naco line. He brought some of the media with him. He didn't tell Don ahead of time. Don was not happy and proceeded to remind Gilchrist that "this is MY line!" He calmed down though and the media photo-op went well.

That was Mr. Swanson's typo and there was no way I could have known (guy/gun). He also wrote of "cragas" disease, which I took the liberty to correct.

Thanks for illuminating and the great work you did yourself. Sounds like Don had more than enough territorial defensiveness to make up for that other fellows' kind-hearted canines.

How is it that during the cold war we could secure the borders in Germany and continue to hold the DMZ in Korea and yet we can't secure the border with Mexico. I know that there is the claim of needing the illegals to do the tasks that many people would reject but enough already. With 15 million illegals I think we have enough to fill that need. Why can't we use the thousands of National Guard troops that have their two week of training to help with this desperately needed closing of the border.
