"Wow, this is incoherent. Kerry, of course, is objecting to GOP plans to change Senate rules to abolish the filibuster for judicial nominees, so that 41 senators would no longer be able to block a vote on their confirmation. Kerry is suggesting that this rule change would be some sort of diversion from the business of the Senate, when of course the opposite is true: It is Kerry and his fellow Democrats who are preventing the Senate from doing its job and confirming or rejecting the president's nominees.
And what is all this about Darfur, health insurance and those menacing Asian bankers? These, Kerry suggests, are the things on which government should be focusing its attention. Well, Kerry just ran for president. Did he talk about these things during his campaign? We seem to recall his campaign was devoted mostly to boasting about his purported heroism during a four-month stint in Vietnam.
Kerry also issued an Internet video earlier this week called "Give Voice to Our Values." (The e-mail announcing the video declared hilariously, " I can't literally sit in your living room and talk. . . . So, I've chosen the next best thing.") We sat through all four minutes of it and have no idea what those "values" are. About all we can tell is that Kerry is mad at people who disagree with him and whose views are informed by their religion.
The Boston Herald, in a story amusingly titled "Kerry: Don't Tell Me What God Wants," picks up on the theme further:
"I am sick and tired of (them saying) they somehow have a better understanding of Christianity, of the Judeo-Christian ethic, of values," Kerry added. "We're talking about values? You show me where in the New Testament Jesus ever talked about the value of having taxes and taking money from poor people to give to the rich people in this country."
Sure enough, Kerry is right. The Bible never once mentions the United States!
Remember, this guy is the best the Democrats have to offer, the man they chose last year to take on George W. Bush. He thinks he's still running for president, but we suspect he'll be proved wrong. In a piece that appeared on this Web site Monday, Jay Cost argued that Hillary Clinton is "one of the worst politicians in national politics today." He makes a good case, but can she possibly be worse than John Kerry?
* The haughty, French-looking Massachusetts Democrat, who by the way promised 82 days ago to release his military records."
I think Kerry smells an excommunication on the wind. What with the new Pope and all.
"Forces outside the mainstream are the diabolical George Soros and his evil followers."
That does conjure up some scary thoughts.
Lurch will be 64 in 2008, and Teresa will be 69. Lurch had a Botox treatment that didn't make any noticeable improvement to his face before the last election. and Teresa was already loony as hell. By 2008 they should be really 'ripe'.
If he does try to run again this could easily get grotesque.
I am hoping for and, yes, I know I am perverse.
I thought that name sounded familiar. Wasn't he a far left wing liberal from Massachusetts who ran a losing presidential campaign? Or am I thinking of Dukakis? I never can remember which left wing liberal loser is which.
Yeah, I think Pope Benedict did say, "What we have here is a failure to excommunicate". Of course, my Latin's a little rusty, but I'm pretty sure that's what he said.
My dream is to see two giant vote-getting, irresistable candidates emerge..........2 men on white horses.......in my old home state of MA, and both of them come in like roaring, screaming thunder to win the 2 Senate seats and dump both Teddy boy and John False Kerry, once and for all.
From your mouth to God's ear. I'm tired of writing in names so I don't have to vote for our twin dufuss senators!
Sorry, I can't waste much time on Kerry. He is just
history and deserves very little attention.
I am sure that I am giving him to much attention already.
Soros: the man who would destabilize and destroy the United States and remake it in his image.
Be afraid and be vigilant. This man wants to destroy our not our way of life, as the Islamists do, but our very soul.
I think you're right. Didn't Al Gore keep on talking up a storm for a long while after he lost? Psychologically, I think it's the way that a defeated candidate for president has to blow off steam.........just keep up a watered-down version of the pace of campaign loguaciousness.
Egocentrically, it's their way of maintaining some sort of illusion that they didn't really lose, and that they still have a chance..........next time or the time after that........or .........some time or other, if they just keep on talking.
Kerry always slays me when he talks about the Government robbing from the poor to give to the rich. Theresa paid 15% income tax last year and John Kerry took his Senate salary while doing no work whatsoever and campaigning.Sounds like he is right and he is the rich robbing from us poor taxpayers.
All I remember is that he was seriously wounded 3 times in his 4 months service in Viet Nam. So seriously that he was awarded 3 Purple Hearts for his wounds, but valiantly refused each time to stay overnight in a hospital afterward.
Yep! Chatter and hope seems to be the thing.
"The Bible never once mentions the United States"
Actually .. that's not correct. In the prophetic scriptures, most countries are spoken of either as some animal or as a spiritual influence (such as Gog and Magog).
America is referred to as the "Eagle" - and the UK is referred to as the "young Lions" - and I find it interesting that these animals are the symbols for both countries.
"George Soros"
You are exactly correct .. and Kerry proves once again that the dems are stuck in "protection technique" mode - claiming their are outside forces leading the repubs - when in fact it's outside forces which are leading the dems. They never figure out they're telling on themselves .. [.. sigh ..]
I don't like Rats at all, and I don't repect their positions, but it would be nice if for once they didn't nominate someone who is a total sociopath.

As a spiritual influence? I do wonder sometimes. Is the USA the Babylon of Revelation 18? What other nation imports so much (verses 11-16)(remember our growing trade deficit)? What wealthy nation has such a huge population in so many cities on the coastlines (Pacific, Atlantic, Great Lakes) that the "...ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, and cried when they saw the smoke of her burning..."?(verses 17,18)
I think most God fearing people know, or at least suspect, that the level of sin reaches a point where God brings judgement against nations. He's proven that in the past.
Maybe we're getting close to the end. I'd like to think that there's plenty of good left in this great country, only God knows.
'God bless America' is a good request. I shall add a word: God, PLEASE bless America.
Why should millions of truly good people perish, because of the true sins and wickedness of others?.....the libertine leftists who trade in hate......Michael Moore, Jeaneane Garafalo, Whoopi Goldberg.......and those whom they influence?
I'm reminded of Sodom & Gomorrah. The people were warned, and many left. Didn't they? The only divine command was NOT to look back. Those who did turned into pillars of salt........but don't you think that many escaped before the destruction of Sodom & Gomorrah?
