France continues to require the lifting of the embargo on the weapons

PEIJING - continuous France "to require" the lifting of the embargo on the weapons of China and does not think that the European Council will change its position, declared Thursday in Peijing French the Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin.

"France continues to require the lifting of the embargo and does not see what could lead the European Council to change its position on the subject", Mr. Raffarin during a press conference declared.

The European embargo on the weapons in China was imposed after the massacre of Tiananmen in 1989 and its lifting is the subject currently of a debate within the European Union.

The "compatible" law anti-secession with the French position

PEIJING - the Chinese law anti-secession envisaging a recourse to the force if Taiwan declares its independence is "completely compatible with the position of France", declared Thursday in Peijing French the Prime Minister, Jean-Pierre Raffarin.

"the law anti-secession is completely compatible with the position of France", said Mr. Raffarin during a joint press conference with its Chinese counterpart, Wen Jiabao.

The popular French National Assembly (ANP, Parliament) Chinese had adopted in March with one crushing majority a law anti-secession making illegal a formal independence of Taiwan.

Thanks. In the original, it paints a picture of the French PM smooching the PRC's butt and leaving a hickey.

The Taiwan Question receives another answer, and France joins Russia and China.

I wonder if France would have the same enlightened position on Anglo Canadians attacking the French Canadians in Quebec should they decide to secede from Canada?

Two words for France: "Danish Brie". That's it, there's nothing I need buy from France in my life anymore.

I support anybody invading France. The fact that the French government has such a heavy hand and ownership of a % of certain companies make them easily bought. Right after that decision they announced the sale of 10 planes to China. Anyone can say quid pro quo?

and we thought on Iraq they would always favor "process, diplomacy and war as last resort?"

If the french think China is a responsible nation, more so than the US then they will one day wake up to commi reality, and when they do,it won't be in heaven.
